I have used the services of these hotels for several years when traveling for work and leisure with my family. This last experience, however, was quite unpleasant, and the assistance from Angelo, the manager at the time of my arrival, made things even worse.
When I arrived, they asked if I preferred a room with a king bed or two beds. I replied that I was traveling alone and it didn’t matter, as I only wanted to rest after 17 hours of driving.
When I got to the 5th floor, where my assigned room was located, I immediately noticed a strong musty smell throughout the entire floor as soon as I stepped out of the elevator. Walking down the hallway, I saw that on that side of the building, all the rooms had exposed demolition areas, and some even had industrial drying equipment running. The strong odor of moisture and mold was completely obvious, and what made it worse was that the entire floor shared the same AC system — so the mostly smell in my room was just as bad as in the hallway.
When I get down the stairs to request them to switch the room Angelo’s actitud was the worst part of this story and He didn’t want to help at all.
On top of that, more than 10 days have passed, and I still haven’t received the refund for my deposit.
This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with this hotel chain.
