I stayed here for two nights while working at a hospital because no other lodging was available. I booked through Hotels.com and prepaid $159 in full specifically to avoid extra charges.
At check-in, the hotel charged my card an additional $133.96, which I questioned immediately. I was told it was a “hold,” but no one could clearly explain why such a large amount was taken when the room was already prepaid. I was exhausted, needed sleep before my next shift, and had no other option but to stay.
Unfortunately, rest was nearly impossible due to nearby construction and constant vehicle beeping starting early in the morning. This was not disclosed and made the stay even more stressful.
At checkout, I asked for a receipt and again questioned the $133.96 charge. I was repeatedly assured, “No worries, it will drop off.” It did not. The charge fully posted.
As a result, I was charged $159 by Hotels.com and $133.96 by the hotel—almost $300 total—for a noisy, unclean property that was not worth this price.
I contacted Hotels.com immediately and was told the issue was under investigation. I received emails stating no reply was needed, yet days later there has been no resolution or refund.
I would strongly caution travelers, especially those prepaying, to monitor charges closely. This experience caused unnecessary stress and financial strain during a work assignment.
