I had an image of my US passport, which includes a photo, in my cell, and I had various credit cards, plus - of course - the hotels.com itinerary number. They rejected all of these, saying I needed to show them an ID. So they wouldn't give the room I had paid for, and at 8 pm I had a find another hotel.

the room wasnt bad . Kinda cramped for a king size bed.No vending machines worked. Also the lobby was really shabby. It looked like a hotel in downtown Baghdad.

The staff was friendly and there is shopping nearby. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, although the room and tv were minimal. I would definitely stay here again. The 1926 Ford is epic in the lobby!

There was human hair everywhere. Didn’t trust the bedsheets, I threw them on the floor. Mattress was stained with god knows what. Showers looked disgusting I didn’t even bother. The front desk agent was nice I guess. Every floor smells like cigarette smoke. Not a lot of space to move around in the room there’s a random small open area in the room that seems to have no use. Immediately washed my clothes in fear of bed bugs at a different hotel. Just stay somewhere else unless you’re tight on money and can tolerate that sort of environment.

Wow is all I can say this place is not in the greatest shape. We got checked in around 8 at night booked online decide to change and go out on the town came back to realize it was actually as bad as the reviews say… this place needs more help that they can give it. Yes floors were dirty did smell of cigarettes and pot but it was cheap. I will say this much I took a shower before I left to wash a unpleasant feeling off me… there were things one the floor in our friends room that should have never been there (needle cap) there room was disturbing and disgusting but didn’t till next morning… save you money

So. If you love historic properties as I do you may love it. Built in 1923, inexpensive. I felt mostly safe. But not for the timid. (I think I smelled pot, a woman was screaming at her kids in the lobby.) Beautiful old window sill, radiator disguised with a covering, great old doors. AC was a window unit fortunately it worked well. Clean. Not sure I’d stay there again but glad I had the experience.

Staff was nice, room was decently clean. We got 2 super small bottles of hair conditioner. No soap so had to go to a nearby store to get body wash. Parking felt safe and was well lit at night.

Overall 5/10. The building is old and therefore has some old building problems so I’m not going to discredit the owners for that. This hotel is rather inexpensive which I appreciated and the staff were nice. The hotel was dirty and the room wasn’t great either. There were burn marks on the nightstand and whoever reserved the room before us had tampered with the smoke detector. The sheets were clean and bug free, which is why we chose to stay instead of going somewhere else.
