This was not a happy reservation. Before I made it, I called Best Western Customer Service and was told that if I made the reservation on Hotels.Com I could use a Hotels.Com gift card. I did that and have the confirmation with the Hotels.Com identification. When I appeared at the Best Western in Rock Hill South Carolina I presented my gift card. The clerk who had barely understandable English called his boss and after 15 or so minutes of them discussing the gift card, I was told they would not accept it. I looked to my left and saw a notice of all forms of credit that were not acceptable, Paypal and Venmo were on the list as well as close to 2 dozen others (I have a picture of the list) but Hotels.com was not on this list. I told the clerk that was not what I agreed to and after I went elsewhere, he charged me for the room anyway. I have notified Hotels.Com of this failure to accept their card and will stop payment of that charge..
