We stayed in a suite advertised for larger groups (six people total, including four children). The suite included one king bed and two pull-out sofa beds.
First, the sofa beds had no linens. When we asked for some we were told the hotel does not provide linen for sofa beds. The mattresses on the pull-outs appeared stained, so we chose not to have the children sleep on them without covers. We ended up driving to a nearby Walmart to purchase sleeping bags. This was an unexpected extra expense and inconvenience, especially after arriving with tired kids.
The main living area (where the sofa beds are located) was missing a heavy curtain or blackout covering. As a result, the room stayed quite bright until around 10 p.m., making it difficult for the children to fall asleep. We improvised by hanging used towels over the windows to darken the space.
The dining area in the suite was also missing a light fixture. We moved a lamp from another part of the room so we could see while eating.
The staff members we interacted with were consistently friendly and helpful.
We selected this hotel largely because of the complimentary breakfast. However, the breakfast area was very crowded with long lines. It felt competitive at times—people appeared ready to step into your spot as soon as you moved. After finding the experience stressful rather than convenient, we decided to buy breakfast elsewhere instead of using the free option.
We will not be staying at a Comfort Inn in the future.
