Room conditions: The air conditioning in my first room did not work. I had to switch rooms, which was very inconvenient as I had to repack everything, but it was necessary because the hotel staff had the heat running throughout the building despite the very hot weather outside.
Air quality: The hallways were filled with overpowering smells of spices, strong cleaning products, and air fresheners. My mother, who has a lung disease, was severely affected by this during the weekend.
Cleanliness: The bed in my room had bed bugs.
Pool area: The pool room was unbearably hot because of the sun shining through the glass windows all day and the heat running in that area. We tried to open the doors for ventilation, but staff told us to keep them shut, making it nearly impossible to enjoy the pool.
Bathroom: The shower only had cold water and no hot water available.
Breakfast: The food was unacceptable—eggs were runny and uncooked, and the juice was watered down.
To make matters worse, this trip was for a family funeral, which made the experience even more stressful and upsetting.
Given the severity of these issues, I am requesting a refund for this booking. I also ask that you investigate this property to prevent other guests from experiencing similar problems.
