Great Hotel Location-Bad Room Location
This hotel is in a great location, the bed is very comfortable and the room is nice. HOWEVER, we ended up with a room on the first floor facing a restaurant with live music and right next to the breakfast area. As much as this hotel costs no one should have to stay in this particular room (102). You can't even open the window shades because people can look right into your room. We were also woken up early every morning hearing the door to the breakfast room opening and closing as staff was getting things ready.
The frustrating thing is, we called the hotel directly about three weeks before our stay asking for a room on a high floor and was told that wouldn't be a problem. When we got there we were told we were on the first floor and to check back the next morning. Next morning we were told they didn't have enough staff to let us change rooms try again the next day. The next day, same thing. They finally called us after we left that day to say we could change rooms but would have to come back and gather everything up let them hold our bags and then later they would have it ready. It wasn't worth it by then because we were on our way to a tour and couldn't go back. I asked for a break in cost or a free night later and they said they would try. Once again no help in the end. In my opinion, a hotel that costs this much should take better care of their customers. We did get some points on our Marriott Convoy account but not much. Very disappointed in the management at this hotel.
