We stayed as a family with young children for one night. This stay was paid for due to a late cancellation, so we stayed anyway.
Check-in was quick and smooth. Clean room in a quiet area, located on the first floor near the pool. The bathroom was well maintained, and the mattress was on the softer side. The pool was clean (max depth 5 ft) and enjoyed by the kids.
One concerning issue was the room door. There was a visible gap between the door and frame, which raised security concerns. Using the key assigned to our room, the door opened very easily. The swing-bar latch only works when someone is inside the room, leaving belongings vulnerable when guests are out.
Complimentary breakfast starts at 6:30am.
During breakfast, pancake machine malfunctioned. My kids mistakenly opened the top lid, which caused it to stop. We apologized. There was no visible sign or notice indicating the lid should not be opened, and the kids were following the on-screen instructions.
A staff member named Carolyn was patient, professional, and very helpful. Unfortunately, when I later went to the front desk to request assistance, a male staff named Fred used explicit sexual language and made a sexual hand gesture while speaking to me in the public lobby. This behavior was inappropriate and unprofessional for a family-oriented hotel.
Carolyn’s professionalism stood out positively, but the staff conduct issue and room security concern detracted from the stay.
