I have been a guest of the Hotel since it has opened. My parents live in the Villages. I stay there for the cleanliness, hospitality of the front desk and the convenience of having my dog with me. The week I was there, it was biker week. I found it rude that all the bikers were allowed to park on the sidewalks starting at the front doors all around the main entrance, yet I was reprimanded for having a bottle of wine, in which was a gift, with me in the common area. My husband, guest and father were all ordering drinks from the bar. I was told "outside beverages were not allowed." I was a guest of the hotel. I felt it was uncalled fall. after all, guests were walking in with their leftover food or Uber eats to the hotel. If I cannot drink my own wine, while still ordering other drinks from the bar, and others were bringing in their take out... then all rules should apply to all guests. No outside food or beverages. We all know that would not go over well with the guests in your hotel. I thought the staff member should have asked if I was a guest of the hotel or not before telling me I could not open the gift of wine in the common area. Thank you
