Overrated should be a 5 of 10 suggest elasewhere
Rarely write a review but this hotel appears better rated than it is. Arrived and elevator not working so used stairs, door to outside stairs not closing properly so anyone could enter upper level rooms. The pool was murky with green tinge so kids couldnāt swim. Toilet wouldnāt flush or ran water nonstop. Breakfast lady was happy cause ice machine had been broken for 2 months but just got fixed.
The area is swamped with homeless , not hotel fault but their security of no locking outer door was scary.
What pushed me over edge was breakfast starts at 7am and I went in at 6:50 to get milk for my daughter who had a soccer game and we had to leave at 7 to get to it. The lady at front desk was EXTREMELY rude and said that breakfast starts at 7 but it was the way she said it. So after all the things that were wrong they couldnāt allow me to get milk that was sitting out for my daughter? Very poor attitude of worker.
Will never stay here again will go to my tried and true Sleep Inn Mayo Clinic location.

Good bang for your buck
Good hotel in a sketchy area, the girl in the front desk was friendly, breakfast was simple but tasty (waffles, eggs, bacon, bagels, cereal, coffee, juice, yogurt, apples and bananas), the room was comfortable, very close to a Costco and a Walmart

Avoid this hotel
Horrible customer service, overnight staff refused to help us when we asked for a different room due to air conditioning not working and room reeking of cigarettes. We were told that the hotel was full (even though she didnāt even get up to check to see if a room was available) refused to find us an air freshener for the smell stating sheās āovernight and doesnāt know where housekeeping keeps anythingā When we asked for a trash can for our room she stated I donāt know where to find one for you and then proceeded to empty out a trash can behind the desk and hand us that one. Complained and made rude remarks the entire duration of our conversation. The ice machine has been broken for 2 months and the vending machine to buy waters, other drinks, and snacks was broken and unable to accept payment. No washcloths in our room, when we asked housekeeping for some they told us we (my husband and I) that we had to share one washcloth. Visible urine stains on the carpet from previous pets stays. The managers fought against giving us a refund but thankfully hotels.com advocated for me and we were able to at least get a partial refund despite the horrendous customer service and quality of the room.

It started out okay but as soon as i left they started charging my card random amounts until my account was empty

We didn't stay. The front desk gave us cards that wouldn't work on the first unit so we asked for new keys, and she gave us keys to a new unit. They also didn't work. She even tried a 3rd time herself, but still didn't work, she then gave us cards to a third unit (attempt #4) that didn't work, but good thing as there was already someone staying there that came out when we tried using the card. We finally got a card that worked with a unit on the ground level and when we went in it smelled like cigarettes and had dirty towels on the floor. We've stayed there before without incident, but that was the last straw on this visit. We were nice about it, but asked for a refund which we were told we would recieve and booked another location at a different hotel, but I'm finding out they billed us anyway for the first night. I don't know if I'll ever book with them again. Super disappointed!!!

Back door was not working then later you could just open it up and a $200 cash deposit or $100 card deposit is really ridiculous for this location
