I can confidently say this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a La Quinta Inn.
From the moment I arrived, I felt unsafe. People were outside selling items from their cars, and a man stood at the entrance asking for money. Before checking in, I went to the front desk to request a refund and explained my concerns. Instead of taking it seriously, the staff said those individuals were “good people” and refused to issue a refund.
After about 30 minutes of trying to resolve it, I felt forced to check in since I had already prepaid around $200.
The room was unacceptable. The sheets were dirty, the room looked unfinished (with mismatched paint and a strong odor), and the bed was visibly slanted like it was broken. I didn’t stay more than five minutes.
I immediately checked out and left, then paid for another hotel to feel safe and comfortable.
I’ve stayed at other La Quinta locations with no issues, but this one fell far below standard. Between the safety concerns, lack of cleanliness, and refusal to refund, this was extremely disappointing.
Save your money and go somewhere else.
