I’m writing to formally express my deep concern and dissatisfaction following a terrifying and unacceptable experience during my recent stay booked through your platform at the London Inn at Oakland from July 26 to July 27, 2025.
Shortly after checking in with my aunt and mother, we were immediately approached by suspicious individuals who aggressively knocked on our door and appeared to attempt to enter our room. Fearing for our safety, we attempted to leave the premises, only to find these same individuals blocking the exit and appearing to brandish weapons.
We urgently contacted the front desk for assistance, hoping for some sort of support or escort to safety, but the staff member on duty was completely unhelpful and unresponsive to our situation. Left with no other option, we had to call family members to come and physically escort us out of the hotel.
This was not only a frightening experience, but also a serious safety issue. We attempted to resolve this matter directly with the hotel and request a refund, but they refused to cooperate.
Given the severity of this incident and the clear neglect of duty by the hotel staff, I am requesting a full refund for our stay, along with a formal acknowledgment of this complaint. I trust Expedia takes the safety and well-being of its customers seriously and will escalate this matter accordingly.
