A very okay stay.
I have mixed feelings about this resort. This was a very spur of the moment trip, so we didn’t do much research before we booked. Overall the experience was okay, there’s just a few things that could have been better.
The resort itself was nice and clean. All the staff we came in contact with were very friendly. Our experience at check in was fine. I had booked a room with a King sized bed. When we checked in, we were told we had been “upgraded” and that the “view” would be better. This turned out to be completely disingenuous. When we got to our room, it was the 5th floor, but the view was the pool and it was a double queen room. They likely oversold the king, and if that was the case, that’s fine! But don’t sell it as an upgrade. There was also an adjoining room door with no soundproofing so we got to listen to our neighbors wake us up continually, at 2am then 4am. Which that is not the hotel’s fault, but I have never stayed in a hotel with such poor soundproofing.
The food on the resort was good as well, just know you’re going to pay for the convenience. There was a breakfast buffet that they charge $30 and it’s basically a holiday inn continental breakfast. Everything else we had was very good and worth the price though.
And the last note is that this is advertised as beach front, but it is a decent little walk to the beach, and there is a lot of construction going on to upgrade amenities both inside and outside.
