I have been in many hotels over the years. I have stayed in plenty of Holiday Inns. The hotel itself was okay, the staff was okay, the room was okay-ish. The worst thing, BY FAR, was the bed. Again, I have traveled all over the country and have been in 100s of hotel beds. To say this is the worst mattress I have ever had the displeasure of trying to sleep on is absolutely INSANE.
I sat down on the end of the bed and was instantly concerned. The bed was rock hard and I not only felt BUT HEARD the springs in the mattress creek and crunch. My husband and I slept ON TOP of the blankets to try and have some type of padding.
I was absolutely CRIPPLED from sleeping on this mattress for 4 hours. I was unable to get out of bed unassisted and it took me 2 hours before I could attempt to stand upright.
I am writing this 8 hours after getting home and having to go to Urgent Care because the pain is unbearable. A quick overnight trip for my wedding anniversary has ended in horrific pain, urgent care and a boatload of steroids and pain relievers. Definitely not an anniversary I want to remember.
I will NEVER stay at a Holiday Inn ever again.
