Extremely Disappointing Stay

My experience at Novotel Melbourne on Collins, was terrible. Reception rarely answers calls, and when they do, room service requests (towels, water, etc.) are delayed for over an hour — if delivered at all.
Only 1 out of 3 lifts was working, causing long queues. Floors smelled unpleasant and felt poorly maintained. No assistance with luggage. Staff show zero urgency or accountability.
The Wi-Fi is painfully slow, and better access is not provided. Dirty glasses were not removed at water dispencer. If you look at the couches or seats kept on reception, absolutely dirty and not cleaned.
Overall, poor management and extremely disappointing service. I would strongly advise others to reconsider before booking.
