I’m going to try really hard to be kind because the owners seem like good people, but I also have to be brutally honest.
I’m not sure how this place is getting 5 star reviews. The owners described it as a “working man’s motel”, and I understand that. If you’re truly looking for an inexpensive place to lay your head, this place is fine I guess? But if you’re looking for any kind of comfort, you’d be better off finding an Airbnb in the area. We honestly would have been more comfortable camping….
The pictures on hotels.com, etc, are misleading. They make it seem much nicer than it is. The overwhelming scent of Fabuloso can’t hide the fact that the floors are dirty (the picture is my socks after walking around for a few hours) and there are holes in the walls. We were only given one towel, the tv picture was fuzzy and the remote didn’t work. The refrigerator was dirty and sticky inside. Uncomfortable mattress with springs poking out, and flat pillows.
The description also states that they serve breakfast from 6-9am. There was no breakfast. If that was something that needed to be arranged beforehand, that needs to be stated in the description.
The only reason I gave it more than one star is because it was very affordable, and I’m sure the owners work very hard, but if you don’t have the resources to properly maintain a motel, you should probably go into another line of business.
