The room was clean and very comfortable. The restaurant staff and hotel reception desk however was a different story. We had dinner after we arrived. Saturday's special was prime rib. The restaurant opened at 4 and we were there at 6. We were told that they were out of prime rib. Not exactly the truth -- we saw four plates of prime rib served to what we believe were "regular" customers. The staff was super friendly with those folks but lukewarm with a first-timer like us. Breakfast was about the same. Staff warmly greeted the "regulars" but barely came to refill our coffee. They should understand that if they expect people to return to such a remote location, they need to be inviting to everyone. The bartender WAS friendly and answered our questions. Obviously, we generously rewarded his attitude with a nice tip.
