I’m not a 1-star reviewer, normally. But I feel strongly about this particular experience and know that other travelers need to know why I left 1 star. I filtered my hotel search by “hotel shuttles included”. It’s purely they reason I go the night before I fly. Upon arriving Thursday evening, the sweet lady at the desk told me the shuttle was 8am-8pm. Which is much later than most early flights. However, I took an uber and went about my business. Upon returning on Tuesday, I called from the airport and requested the shuttle at 12:32pm. She called me back a few minutes later and said the shuttle was under maintenance, I would have to uber. I asked about them sending a car for me, she declined. So I paid for another uber and she I got back, I spoke to the manager about all of this-the way a complaint should be handled. However-she informed me that because I booked through a 3rd party site, there’s nothing she can do. I explained that I paid for the hotel with the assumption that the advertised hotel shuttle was included and now I had an additional $43 in fees..and asked for part of my uber fees to be compensated, or even a voucher for a future hotel stay. “There’s nothing we can do” I said “ok, I imagine you’re management company will care about the review letting others know you aren’t able to perform the duties advertised”. She said “now that you’ve threatened that, I will be contacting Expedia and other 3rd party sites to block your reviews”. Won’t be staying here again.
