SOLD my room! Went to check in and the room we walked in was not the handicap accessible room with roll in shower that I booked. I was told the room I PAID FOR in advance days prior was changed by someone at the desk the morning of my arrival. I was never told and upon asking for a different room, I was told there were no other rooms available besides the one he just assigned to me. When we walked in, the shower was nasty in the floor, no toilet paper at all (had to ask for it), and there was hair in and around the base of the toilet. The room was filthy! I have stayed here more than 2 months out of the year for the last few years and WILL NEVER BE BACK! We had to re-book with another hotel and by now it has just made it past midnight! Booking this late was HELL and we booked across the street at a NEW HOTEL which was over $200 more. Super MAD AT AVID in Perry, GA. DO NOT STAY HERE! I was on a business trip as always when staying here and NEVER again! Save the time and frustration and stay somewhere else. Hopefully this will educate others and management at AVID. I would like someone to contact me from the hotel. They did refund me my money as requested and Hotels.com confirmed and sent it back as well. Thank you Hotels.com for your work as always. - RJ
