I booked a room for a March stay through Hotels.com, but somehow the reservation ended up showing February dates. When I contacted Hotels.com, their customer service told me to call the hotel directly to see if the dates could be adjusted.
I spoke with someone at the hotel and explained the situation. They told me they would check with management and call me back the following Monday to let me know if they could accommodate the March dates. Unfortunately, no one ever called back.
When I eventually called the hotel again, I was brushed off and told there was nothing they could do and that I needed to call Expedia instead. At that point, I had already been sent back and forth between Hotels.com, the hotel, and Expedia multiple times, with no one willing to take responsibility or help resolve the issue.
What should have been a simple customer service fix turned into a very frustrating experience. The lack of follow-up and the constant redirecting between companies made it clear that customer service was not a priority.
Very disappointing.
