Absolutely fantastic. The bathroom was one of the best I have ever used fantastic shower and bath. New facilities. Truly exceptional. The food in the restaurant was great and the place itself is amazing. Highly recommended.

This was a great place to stay. It was a bit far away from the city center. The room was very nice,, and we would stay here again but definitely better for stays related to events at the site or playing golf than a pass through see Kendal location

Nice clean room, quiet location on the edge of the town. One thing though, the room I booked said countryside views? I think it would be fairer to say countryside location, there was no view, apart from the carpark.

No one at the reception when we arrived so had to wait a bit and then another couple then said we had to go to the bar area . Lodge good but surprised no lounge area snd 2 separate bedrooms nice big bathroom . Had a good stay

Overall very good experience - the hotel, the rooms, cleanliness, staff, value for money, check in, check out, standard of rooms and facilities - All excellent. Except that there is cow dung smell when you open windows because of the farms and animals in the nearby houses, sheds etc. I understand its not related to hotel, but just rural locality. So i would still rate the hotel and stay as excellent.

Excellent stay. Staff and accomodation first class. Being a golfer it was perfect . The facilities and course were excellent. The course despite the horrendous recent weather was excellent and a credit to the greenkeepers. Can’t wait to go back.

We arrived late and the restaurant was closed for maintenance. Shelley went the extra mile to help us find a wonderful restaurant after 9pm.

Lovely stay here staff very helpful rooms nice could do with more signage to check in as we parked over at the Golf Course car park. wifi was not working in the room which was a shame as the phone signal is very poor out there

Very modern room and bathroom

Probably the best and most modern bathroom I have been a guest in, which was very much appreciated, and the bedroom was also clean and comfortable. My only minor quibble was the permanently-on green light above the door, presumably to light the exit in case of emergency, but it was quite bright and made it more difficult to sleep - not a big problem, but definitely annoying, and I couldn't find any way to switch it off (odd I've not seen this in any hotel) Apart from that, a very comfortable stay.

Overall good, lighting improvement recommended

Overall the room and bathroom were in good condition and nicely decorated. The room lacked lighting, and only had 3 table-side lamps for the whole room with no main light which left the room dark at all times of the day. There were a few large cobwebs in the corner of the room, however overall the stay was good and would stay again

Pleasant stay.

Overall it was a very pleasant stay in lovely surroundings, unfortunately a couple of issues didn't quite make it ideal, no full length mirror and no window blinds with the curtains as we were woken very early with daylight/sun flooding the room!
