In 25 years plus of travel, I have never encountered a more rude and unprofessional hotel staffer than the gentleman that was working the front desk throughout our 2-night stay. It took him over 20 minutes to check us in upon arrival because he was busy texting. He also informed me at check-in that he had to charge me an additional $16 beyond the rate that I booked the room at and when I questioned the reason why, he couldn't provide me with an answer. When we got to our room, there were stains on our towels and bed covers. Our TV remote also didn't work and when we went down to ask him for a replacement, he said that he couldn't help us (so no TV for the entire stay). The next afternoon, I went down to request 2 new towels to which his response was "You need to tell me this before our housekeeper leaves for the day." He then said he wouldn't give me the towels until I brought down the ones in our room to him. When I reached out to hotels.com for support, I was told that all that they could do was give me $50 worth of hotels.com credit as they tried to contact the hotel (once) regarding my concerns and no one would answer the phone. The level of customer service that we received was as poor as I've ever experienced. I cannot discourage people from staying at the hotel enough.
