What truly sets The Oberoi apart for me was the unparalleled service. The staff and management go above and beyond to make you feel like a VIP, with incredible attention to detail from the restaurant team to the immaculate room service. It is a deeply personal and unforgettable experience.
The property is stunning, about 16 acres of perfectly kept gardens that feel so spacious and private, never crowded at all. The traditional pavilion style rooms with thatched roofs are scattered around, giving everything a secluded, authentic Balinese feel that’s charming and special, not like a generic modern hotel. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and whilst some reviews I read suggested its dated, I personally felt it was part of the charm.
Breakfast was a daily highlight. À la carte instead of buffet, with tons of choices to mix and match, and nothing was ever too much trouble. It was a much more relaxing and enjoyable experience than the typical buffet experience.
The bar was a nice spot to sit and listen to the waves. The beach was clean with a long flat stretch that’s great for playing in the water. The location in Seminyak is perfect, with good shops, bars, and restaurants nearby, plus a free hotel shuttle to get around easily.
If you’re on the fence about choosing this place, go for it. The exceptional service is what makes this place stand out above everything else. I loved it and would definitely return.
