Overall a good stay. Reception staff, brilliant. Gerard must be an absolute standout of standouts; he absolutely makes the whole place unforgettable, by turning the very unassuming bar and small dinner area, into a wonderful fun filled delight, as he walks you through both the history and cocktail menu. The food for dinner was of a very high standard as well. Surprisingly good given the size of the place, and easily comparable, well I'd say better, than some with far more notoriety and price tag up at the Crown for example Unfortunately the breakfast was consistently very poor, Im convinced thats a different chef. Additionally we had to put in a lot of effort to get room service just once on our three night stay. Otherwise I'd have high fived the lot. Oh, and we had the corner view station room, fantastic. Worth a visit for dinner even if you're not staying.
