Check in was horrible. The young girl was very rude. She was outside somewhere originally. When I walked in no one was at the counter and I just waited there thinking someone was possibly in the back or helping someone. Once she walked inside she walked behind me and around the corner to the counter and I said hello. She never greeted me. In fact minutes go by and she said “you say something?” I said, I said hello. She said oh and sat down. A few more minutes go by and she said do you need something. She was rude and unprofessional the entire time she checked me. She was sarcastic and said oh I didn’t know if you were here for groceries. Being that it was 10pm and we were exhausted I did not escalate the situation and because she looked like a child, maybe 18. However, that’s no excuse to tolerate this behavior as a company and she should be properly trained if she’s going to be in hospitality.
Everyone else was good. The person at the front the next day was pleasant and the room keepers were very nice. Breakfast could’ve been warmer but that’s not a huge deal. I can obviously see this young lady was a fluke however she put a very bad taste in my mouth for holiday express and I don’t think we’ll choose them again.
