Just sign this document....
At check in things started well enough. The staff member was pleasant and engaging. Things went awray when a sheet of A4 paper was produced with a requirement to sign. It was literally impossible to read the legalese in font appropriately size 2. Until this was signed we were not going to our room. We had already paid in full. There had been no information that this would be required. We had paid a security deposit of $400.
A senior manager appeared. The form was reprinted on A3. It could now be read. The customer is required to agree to a number of conditions plus full acceptance of the privacy policy. When asked what was in the policy no one could say. The advice was to go to the Web page and read it. The hotel could not print it or give access to screen. They were prepared to cancel my booking and allow the cancellation policy to operate. That would mean all money paid would be forfeit.
After a long tiring journey this is not ideal. We signed.
In the room the toilet seat was very loose on its mounts. We asked that it be fixed. It never was. We were there 4 nights.
When opened this would have been a 5 star hotel. It has been neglected. It is tired. The breakfast is $36 each. It is adequate, but the coffee is not. It is terrible. Made in a machine it is weak and far from hot.
