The property itself is beautiful and the room was very nice, but the resort is not run well. One of us got food poisoning the first night due to undercooked shellfish and spent an entire day of vacation sick in our room. We notified the hotel, they said they would follow up, but they never did. Two nights later, another guest we met got the same undercooked shellfish in the same restaurant, but fortunately she did not eat any of it so did not get sick. This should not have happened a second time, we should have at least gotten an apology, and definitely wevshould not have had to pay the high price for that meal. The food in general was poor, the service was very slow, many choices did not exist, and the servers did not seem at all motivated. All of the prices were very inflated, so we expected that guests would be better treated. We tried to eat outside the hotel as much as possible. The workers were nice enough, but just unresponsive, and that is coming from what seems like an attitude from management of nobody really cares.
