Started with a very weird phone call from the MOTEL telling me that they did not have any rooms available for pets. I never indicated I had a pet. Then pressed me for what time I would be there. I told them after 4:00. I travel alot for work so I have stayed in many hotels, never got a call like this.
I drove by before I was scheduled to check in and was immediately concerned. The place looked rundown and dirty, like broken and dirty windows, weeds. There was one car in the parking lot. I went to my meeting and went back around 5:30 pm and still no other cars. Surrounding properties were not good either.
I am older single female and honesty would not have felt safe. I chose to accept the loss and stay elsewhere.
The booking app - Hotels.com calls it a hotel. It is a motel. There were no pictures of the exterior and there is a photo that looks like a hotel hallway. I have nothing against motels, stayed in some great ones.
