I looked online, called the number listed, and specifically asked if had a pool and if it’s available, I was told yes. Apparently the numbers you call dont go DIRECTLY to the front desk person at the hotel. So whom ever I spoke with wasn’t even at this property. Well we get to the hotel and the pool was unavailable due to chemicals being filtered. I asked the front desk about a refund, and because its a 3rd party using hotels.com so had to contact them, I called them and they said had to contact the manager to verify that the pool is unavailable before could give us a refund. I called every other hotel in the area, but since we waited til later in the day to look for a different one, all the hotels with pools were completely full. So I had to take my 3 children who were super excited to swim being middle of winter and their surprise for doing well in school back to a hotel with no pool and they were absolutely bored. I am still waiting to find out if we will get our refund considering a major amenity that is advertised was unavailable I feel we should. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice enough but I was lied to by whom ever I spoke with and ruined my children’s weekend they earned with hard work in school and I can’t afford to take them to a different one unless I get the refund. We will see how it works out!
