The Best in Laredo but Not Very Good.
There are rows of Diamond Four-Star Award signs on the advertising, in the lobby, on-line etc. It is not a four-star hotel. I had a week-long stay. The room, which faced the Rio Grande river was infested with pigeons that had nested in the roof area over the bedroom. Room 338. The pigeons gnawed on wires and scratched the ceiling all night, every night. I reported this to management. Nothing was done. Per the room itself. 1970s furniture, which was functional and fine. Bed linens did not fit and were worn out. Room Service was a joke. Once, the repairman brought my morning tea since no one was otherwise available. The pool area is lovely and there are four tables to the side of the main building, near the cafe, for outdoor dining. However! Huge air conditioners blast the table area and so we could not enjoy breakfast or have a breakfast meeting. They should erect a separate cabana. All in all the hotel worked for our purposes; but, they really do not measure up as a good hotel.
