Itās supposed to be non smoking but as soon as you enter the hallway you could smell cigarette smoke and the cigarette smoke came through the vents in the bathroom. The next night you could smell marijuana in the hallway.

Avoid this hotel
Avoid this place. Pay a bit extra for something else nearby. Hallways smelled very musty, stains on the walls, towels, and bed sheets and hair on the bed.

First room there was black mold in the bathtub and the air conditioner did not work. Television did not work either. Requested another room. Black mold on the bathroom ceiling and the toilet was broke. Had to remove the tank lid and pull the chain in order to āflushā the toilet.

LaQuinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Williamsburg VA
Upon our arrival we were shown a room that smelled sour and moldy. They gave us a change of room that wasn't much better. The bathroom had paint drops on the floor and it appeared as thougth the painting was to digise the mold spores in the ceithing. There was no ventilation. After showering everything go wet so we had to shower with the door open. There was dirt in the corners of the floor as if the only spot that got mopped was the middle. The bedroom floor felt clammy and damp. I had to go to the front desk to get clean towels because rooms were only cleaned after your first 24hours of stay our first day our we came back to dirty towels and unmade beds. Housekeeping had left for the day.
I have stayed in La Quinta hotels before but never have I had this kind of experience and I won't stay there again. I have stayed at Wyndham prperties before and never seen anything like this.
Additionally I would like to be reimbursed for the 2 days we canceled. unable to add photos they were taken on iPhone and cannot be transfered to my office computer

The place needs to be condemned
We checked in and went to our room-the floor was wet and it smelled like cat piss so we called and got moved to another room. Second room had no AC, so I went back to the desk and got moved to a third room. This room had 2 queens instead of the king we requested. We took it anyhow. The desk people were super apologetic but that doesnāt fix the quality of the room. By the time we left 36 hours later, the floor in front of the AC was soaking wet. We put towels down which helped a little. The pool was not in swimmable condition either. It was green and super unclean. Booo for La Quainta. Definitely would NOT EVER stay at this propagation.

Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Bathroom was really small and outdated. The place could use some fixing up (poor patch jobs on walls, updating, etc) but for $100 it was fine and we slept comfortably.

Don't stay here
I had stayed at this property 10+years ago. It was nice and close to everything in Williamsburg. We pulled in and the pool was cloudy and greenish. The front desk said we can use the pool at the next hotel. It too looked greenish. I asked which way to downtown Williamsburg (the main reason to stay here). She said she was not from around here. Really? Next we tried to call the front desk and realized our phone did not work. We told them about it and ordered more towels. Phone was never fixed and we were told they don't deliver towels. We had to get them ourselves. Our floor had a cubby hole that said "Ice and Vending Machine", but nothing was in there. The front desk never said, "hi", or "good morning" or anything. There is nothing special about this property. I would never stay or recomend this property to anyone.

Think twice
Room keys failed to open door 4 times and had to be reprogrammed. Humidity in room made bed linens and carpet wet. Carpet was thread bare in spots. Bathroom exhaust fan did not work. Bathroom ceiling showed signs of previous leak that were patched but never painted. Bed pillows were the size of a travel pillow. People in parking lot drinking and trying to sell used electronics to children walking into the hotel. Outdoor pool only not usable because the water was green.

It was okay
Bed was comfortable and hotel was close to the colonial area in downtown. The bathroom floor had someone's contact lens laying there. TV have very limited channels. No cable options and would go in and out. They charge a $20 incidental fees. They will not help you with a booking issue unless you book through them. Some of the staff was helpful and some were rude. The room price was good until they had it their $20 incidental fee and if you stay an extra night you have to rebook it and pay an additional $20 incidental fee.

Very bad service
There wasn't any coffee at the breakfast around 8:15am. There was a dirty wash rag in the shower which made me think it was dirty and I didn't take a shower that night. They did not let me get a cot for my son to sleep on and he had to sleep on the floor.I have stayed there numerous times and will look somewhere else the next time.

Good rooms, great breakfast
The hotel is room nice for the price range, and the lobby is great. Breakfast was awesome with scrambled eggs each day and alternating sausage or bacon and french toast or diced potatoes, and 2 waffle makers plus the standard continental breakfast options.
The only pool (outside) looked a little green - but we never asked about it since we were using the "awake" portion of our day at Busch Gardens.

Dirty Bathroom
There were fake fingernails in the entrance to our room and on the bathroom floor. There was also chewing gum stuck to the bathroom wall. The shower was stained and gross-looking. I had rented a second room and there were fake eyelashes in the bed.
The breakfast was good. More variety than other hotels where I have stayed.

We were very happy about overall service and met ecpectation.
