We recently stayed at the Fairmont in Boston and overall had a very good experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, with classic charm and elegant surroundings. One of its best features is the location — it’s right in the heart of the city, with easy access to just about everything you'd want to see or do in Boston.
When we arrived, there was a bit of an issue locating our reservation in the system, which was frustrating at first, but thankfully the staff resolved it relatively quickly. Speaking of the staff — everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and really made us feel looked after throughout our stay.
That said, our room was facing the street, and unfortunately, the noise from early morning traffic (especially trucks) did disturb our sleep a bit. If you're a light sleeper, it might be worth requesting a room away from the street.
We dined at the hotel restaurant — the food was good, though we weren't overly thrilled. Still, it was a pleasant experience overall.
Despite a couple of drawbacks, we would recommend the Fairmont for its charm, service, and location. That said, due to the noise and a few minor hiccups, we couldn’t quite give it a full 4 stars.
