We stayed here for two nights. While the facilities initially appeared acceptable, there was no internet, no hot water, no housekeeping, and no coffee, reportedly due to plumbing issues.
When we raised these concerns with the manager, Jacob, at around 7:30 p.m., we were asked if we would like to check out that evening—even though there were no practical alternatives available until the next day’s Catalina Express back to the mainland.
We later learned that Catalina Courtyard Suites is an independently operated boutique hotel, not a Marriott-affiliated property as we had assumed. That was a lesson learned on our part.
Overall, the lack of basic amenities and the way our concerns were handled made this an unsatisfactory stay. Based on our experience, we would recommend looking elsewhere.
