During check-in, I discovered that our room's refrigerator was not functioning and contained mold. When I notified the front desk, a staff member came to inspect and explained that only suites were available, but they would check with their manager about relocating us. Shortly after, they called to confirm a new room was ready.
After collecting the keys, we discovered we'd been assigned a standard handicap-accessible room—not a suite as mentioned. Upon inspecting the room more closely, I found the cleaning to be subpar. Surfaces appeared hastily wiped down, the vacuuming was incomplete with visible debris in several areas, and the bed linens had stains and marks underneath.
Given our exhaustion and the late hour, I opted not to request another room change and we proceeded to stay the night. While the staff members were courteous and pleasant throughout our interactions, the room conditions were unacceptable. Based on this experience, I will not be returning to this Baymont location.
