I booked two rooms. I put in the requests that I would prefer them joint rooms. I get there to check in and find out that not only are the two rooms not in the same building, but the second room is in a building with no hot water. So I asked to cancel the room with the water issues. They canceled it before I paid a deposit. I paid a deposit for the second room and when I walked in, there were covers balled up on the bed, meaning they did not clean the room between us checking in and the last person checking out. Which also means that those same sheets were on the bed. There was urine and cigarette butts in the toilet and there was a very loud “Mary Jane” smell coming from the room. I went back to the lobby to report this. The front desk attendant repeatedly said “I’m sorry, they told me they cleaned the room”. I decided to cancel my room. She cancelled the room, gave me a refund for my deposit and then told me that I would have to reach out to the third party site that I booked through to receive a full refund. I reached out via chat. They said that they had to contact the hotel to see if they approved my refund and then they said she DENIED my refund. I will never step foot in this or any other Wyndham location again. They kept the money I spent to book the room, and the third party site processed a refund on their end.
