The service was a bit slow, and a little disorganized. ie. housekeeping items, cups, bathrobes slippers...etc, the housekeeper had to do a couple of runs to get the things requested over the phone 30+ minuets later. And still didn’t get everything. Maybe it’s miscommunication or just human error. We do understand it is Easter time. It was very busy time. And our luggage delivery was almost one hour after valet parking, despite of a couple of reminders. The:valet parking, I wonder if any staff did some adjusting with my car system, as afterwards, my phone was not automatically connected with the car anymore. One of tea spoon in the room was not cleaned at all. Dried Coffee liquid was still on the spoon. Besides these little things, overall it was quite pleasant stay. All staff greeted us warmly with standard. While waiting on the tea we ordered at cafe, complimentary well presented Easter cakes were served, as the tea we ordered was not immediately available. We were not in a hurry, didn’t mind the wait actually. But the gesture was much appreciated.

Excellent service and staffs were always helpful and friendly. The hotel facilities (like the pool and gym) were well equipped and maintained. Will definitely recommend to anyone considering a great stay in Melbourne.
The staff are amazing and very accomodating, however for a 5 star hotel the noise coming from other rooms, cleaners and slamming doors is terrible ,we had to be moved and could still hear all doors banging ,we stayed 2 out of 3 weekends from the weekend before christmas to new years ,apart from the noise it is a lovely hotel well located and as for carparking there is a great Wilson carpark at the H and G building directly opposite great weekend rates ,instead of massively inflated hotel rates.
The staff will try their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They will ask whether anything that we need. Service is excellent from check in and the restaurant. However, a little disappontment during the stay that we came back with untidy room and not being clean for two days. I had to call the front desk and they sorted it immediately. It’s very kids friendly hotel and would recommend for family to stay.
The Hotel is a beautiful hotel. Loved valet parking and staff friendly. I had requested an early check in and even phoned the night before to confirm. Although early check in is never guaranteed I was assured they would try for 11am. On arrival I was told they would call me when the two rooms were ready. They never called so we meandered back to the hotel at 4:30pm to find out what was going on. Not even an apology from the gentleman who had clearly forgotten to call. We tried calling room service fir a bottle of champagne and nobody answered. Tried all the ect. No reply. Eventually called the outside line from my phone. Understand the staff may have been busy or short staffed but did not feel any of our requests were out of the ordinary. 30 minute wait for the champagne!! The coffees down stairs were very yummy! The hotel is well situated and a beautiful hotel to stay in but they seem to be very short staffed which meant they could not deliver the service expected from a hotel of this caliber!
Close to all the best of restaurants on Rusell st. Check-in was smooth, the staff at the front desk were friendly and polite. The hotel felt really understaffed. At many occasions no one would answer the phone at the front desk or guest service. Also not too happy with the cleanliness of the hotel. We had food bags outside our room for more than 24 hours. We stayed for 3 nights and all the while the lift buttons on level 19 had dirty hand prints of food. I would have expected more cleanliness especially during pandemic times. I wanted to discuss the issues with the manager and again no would answer the phone call. Grand Hyatt Melbourne you need to live up to your brand.
