Front staff were just average. Wasnt rude but also not overlt friendly. When i had a few questions the front desk staff made me feel kind of stupid. First time ive ever been detroit and staff wasnt overly welcoming. The hotel itself was pretty good, constructuon made it hard to get to, and thats where the front staff wasnt helpful and what to them theyre used to, as a first time visitor to bith the city and hotel, i was not. Not very welcoming. Also signage for holiday inn could have bene set up by the road because the official sign and trance was blocked off and looked like was under permanent construction. Again, looked run down and not welcoming. Gotel should really make extra effort to fix these easily fiaxable things.
Beds were fabulous and rooms were good condition. The only lacking was a fan in the batjeoom which tends to get hot from both showers ajd just having to sit for any length more than 2 mins...no air flow whatsoever. And we made rhebmaitqkr kf leaving it closed off after someone's shower and 2 hours later was still steamy and hot in bathroom.
Rhe inside hallways also felt like the bathroom like no air flow and hot. Feels like the hotel is being cheal bot to air condition the inside hallways at all. This isnt motel 6. I paid extra for holiday inn even over best western and other decent average hotels.
I would NOT stay here again with all of these issues desite the clean rooms and comfortable beds. Unless the price was lower or issues addressed.
