I was dismayed there were security issues with my room. Specifically staff gave other guests key access to my room, causing them to walk in on me in bed. When I told lobby staff, in order to make sure it didn’t happen a third time, they explained the room was rented to another guest after I checked in. While I understand it was a simple mistake, it could have been quickly fixed with an apology and assurance it wouldn't happen again. Staff deactivated my cards after I reported the issue, which required another trip to the lobby. Again no apology, but a quick fix and no conversation to smooth the growing concern about the room. After keycards were reactivated, the staff member reached past me and handed the cards to the person standing next to me. It was a strange interaction, which that person laughed it off and handed me the cards, while I wondered all night why they did that.
I spent the evening looking for another available room in the area, but ultimately decided to stack furniture in front of the door for safety.
At check out, I reported to the same staff member that the exterior door doesn't latch well because of the bent door seal, the bathroom door didn't latch and the microwave door locked automatically, trapping the food inside. The staff member dismissed my concerns and asked if I pressed the door lock setting button.
