I stayed at the Red Roof Inn after seeing the photos online, which made it look really nice. When I got there, it didn’t quite meet those expectations. The room itself was okay overall, but a few things stood out to me.
The bathroom was pretty small, and the door had visible scratches and chew marks, which made it clear that a previous guest had a dog in there. There was also some water damage along the trim near the shower area by the sink.
On the positive side, the AC worked great and kept the room cold, and the bed was comfortable and seemed well-made. However, the couch had a few stains, and the sound insulation wasn’t great. I could hear quite a bit of noise from other rooms. There was also a gap under the front door, which let in some light and sound from outside.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay for the price. It’s a decent, affordable place to spend the night, but it’s not quite as polished as the pictures make it seem.
Pros:
Affordable price
Cold, working AC
Comfortable bed
Cons:
Small bathroom
Pet damage on the door
Some water damage near the shower
Poor sound insulation
Stains on the couch
