I was lied to by the staff about the charges on my bill. Several staff and a manager claimed a third party charged my card for fees but my statement clearly indicates that the card was charged by the hotel. The manager assigned 7000 points to my account and said it was worth about $1000 and that was my compensation. Here's what Gemini estimates the value:

This all started due to errors encountered on their website when trying to register for a room for a conference. Over the course of a week the site would not book a room for the full time at the conference. I finally booked through a third party (Hotel.com) and got a price just over the conference rate. However, the conference rate did not include the hotel's daily fees and neither did mine - the hotel tacked on the charges and will not return my money. The complete lack of empathy or concern for doing the right thing and simply steamrolling their customers seems to of more interest that keeping customers.
