The hotel is dated. There was a strange musty smell in the room. When I was got to my room, I accidentally hit the door with the luggage cart. The cover over the electronic lock fell off. I called the front desk and they said they would send someone up to fix it. No one ever came. Luckily, I was still able to get in and out of the room. Later I decided to call the desk to request a late check out since I was feeling under the weather. No one ever picked up after multiple calls to the front desk. I tried again this morning and still no answer after multiple calls. I finally dragged myself out of bed and waked down to the desk. The lobby is on the other side of the hotel from the rooms so it was a little bit of a walk. When I got to the desk there were 2 associates at the counter yet, no one answered the phone. I explained that I had an evening flight and that I was feeling under the weather. I’m a Bonvoy member so I asked for a 4 pm check-out. I was told that 2 pm was all they could do. Meanwhile, the cleaning staff was cleaning most of the rooms on my hallway so I didn’t understand why I wasn’t able to get the later checkout. This was very disappointing but had I not been feeling sick. I may have let it go. Now I’ll be sitting in the lobby for several hours before I head to the airport.
