I visited Courtyard Doubletree on February 14, 2026, with the expectation of receiving the level of service I have come to expect from the brand. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of those expectations. After arriving to check in to my room, when I entered the room, there was an intense, overpowering odor of mildew. I went to the front desk and requested a different room. She offered me a different room on the same floor, down the hall. When that room was entered, it also had a strong odor of mildew. I again approached the front esk and was given a third room to stay in. I did request a different floor, and she provided one that was on the third floor and opposite side of the hotel. This lack of availability of a room that was sufficient caused me to leave and go to a different hotel for the night. I have severe allergies (mildew, mold, etc) and would not be able to stay in the room safely. I have symptoms from just walking in the 3 rooms for a minimum amount of time.
I booked the reservation through Hotels.com, as a non refundable rate based on the fact that I was in Oklahoma City and in need of a room. I contacted Hotels.com and they advised that the hotel would have to give the refund. The agent advised me that he reached out to the front desk and they denied the refund. Then I contacted corporate office for Courtyard Doubletree to explain my situation, and they advised me that Hotels.com would be the only one to give me the refund.
