I made my reservation at 11:58pm after arriving on a flight. By the time I completed the reservation it was 12:02 am and the Hotels.com app changed the reservation from 1/2 to 1/3 and I wasn't aware. Upon arrival at Sonesta, the desk manager claimed he didn't have a reservation-- once we discovered what happened he was unwilling to assist other than offering to make a new reservation despite the fact I had been billed through the app. This is a flaw by Expedia as much as the Hotel. Neither Expedia or the Sonesta website would allow me to rebook on 1/2 despite the fact that was still their operating business day. Had I booked on 1/3 they would not allow me to check-in until 4pm. Asinine.
I had to cancel the 1/2 booking, which Expedia required Hotel permission, and rebook directly at the front desk, thus losing my booking & rewards through Expedia and paying a higher rate.
Done w/ Expedia and Sonesta!
