Visiting clients in the Citi building downtown. This location was great, quick in and out of the city and the rooms were clean and updated. It looks like it was updated or built recently. Staff is friendly and there's 24 hour security in the lobby. Great food and shops nearby. I'd stay here again as it's a great value in downtown Chicago.

I've been a business traveler for over 20 years and have seen my fair share of hotels from high-end Luxury hotels to economy hotels. The La Quinta Inn & Suites in downtown Chicago was among the very best hotels I've ever used for business. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. My experience here was amazing. We chose this hotel because it was close to Ogilvie Transportation Center, and I'm so glad we did! It happened to be my birthday, and when I mentioned that to the Front Desk, they not only upgraded my room to a corner suite, but also upgraded my parents' suite as well! We will return as soon as we travel again. What a delightful,pleasant visit. The breakfast was plentiful and nothing was wanting , ( except grits lol). Loop area convenient to everything we like about downtown Chicago.Thank you for the greatest of stays.

Thank you for a most romantic evening on NY Eve 2011. The bedding was comfy... the room extremely modern and clean..your staff were friendly and helpful. Thank for your care...felt like home.

The staff was extremely nice, breakfast was great, pool was small but water was perfect for my kids, and who goes to Chicago to swim anyway! Will definately stay here again, price was cheaper than others in the area and you get a lot more than other hotels have to offer downtown.

We loved our stay, the room was great as was the location, we were within an easy walk to shopping and close to Union Station. But the best was the staff, everyone was warm, friendly and helpful from the desk clerks to the woman in charge of the breakfast. They also gave us great tips on where to eat. I would go back tomorrow if I could.

We love this hotel both for the quality stay and breakfast but also the good location close to Union Station and still conventient to downtown.

Defenetly , I will return to this hotel, near to train station, to Macys and others nice places, the people that works at the hotel are very, very friendly, breakfast A+++, Very quite room, overall Amazing hotel!

I have but one complaint. The sound insulation in the walls between rooms is nonexistent. You can hear everything that happens next door. Toilet flushing, shower running, bed jumping, everything. Everything else is great though. Bed, floor finish, long table-counter for computer etc., fridge, TV, everything. Great very large room. Nice lobby. Etc.

This room is large, near-luxurious, attractive, with nice amenities for the price. King size bed was very comfortable and I slept like a rock.. My only complain, and it is minor, is that the walls between rooms are remarkably poor at insulating sound. La Quinta provides a reasonably priced option for staying in central Chicago. The sunshine breakfast makes for a great start to the day and there are plenty of options nearby for lunch and dinner. My grandson and I stayed at La Quinta for 3 nights in a room facing onto an internal courtyard, on the fourth floor, so there was no traffic noise. Perfect location relative to Chicago Urbanathalon start and finish, and, packet pick-up at Hard Rock Hotel. Good hot breakfast selection. Very helpful desk service and prompt response.

Needed a cheap room to spend a night in, wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by room and staff went out of their way. would definitely recommend.

My stay there was horrible, I was kept up all night by the beating of the flags outside the window, then at 700 the Chicago marathon started, I was woken again from the sounds of screaming outside.. The windows had to be paper thin, I could hear everything outside..

very decent price for the location. easy access to the blue line which goes directly to and from the airport, and also close to the brown line as well. right near the river and lots of businesses. the only thing i didn't like was that this part of chicago is equivalent to midtown manhattan, and just kind of sucks, so you want to go to other parts of […] town to hang out, but since the train is so close by it's really easy to do. super convenient and clean, and definitely cheaper than other hotels around. This hotel is in an amazing location. Being near the Loop means being very near the Blue Line to/from the airport (less than $3 each way!), and all of the other trains to all of the wonderful Chicago neighborhoods. Although this hotel's not super-fancy, it's definitely nice. Great breakfast, helpful staff, modern decor. We'd definitely stay again!

the hotel decor is neat and well kept and is conveniently located. During my 4 days stay in the hotel, the chambermaid did not clean the room properly and did not even bother to wash the toilet too as you will see strands of hair lying on the toilet floor and she dont even bother to place the towels properly.

This is a great hotel and an amazing bargain for a big city. Excellent location for business and tourism. Great dining areas nearby and easy access to many parts of the city.

This hotel was right in the loop which was perfect for my work visit. I was close to everything I needed. The first morning I was there I had a later meeting and didn't get down to breakfast until 9:45 but it was already all packed up so I was disappointed. No issues, room was clean, quiet, place, we aksed for a room high up and got that, no issues. Breakfast was fine, basic free breakfast similar to other hotelswith this offering. Close to the "L" a plus, easy to get round town, less cabs to take by taking the train, hence $$ saved.

This holtel was execellent in every measure. The breakfast was terrific and the staff was wonderful.

The LaQuinta in Chicago was delightful. The rooms were fresh and new, the bed comfortable, the WiFi worked properly, easily and without the usual "city hotel wifi fees". This is only the second hotel I've ever stayed in after decades of hotels, in which the mirror in the bathroom did NOT fog up during the shower. The no-cost breakfast had a wide assortment […] of foods on Friday, but fewer on Saturday, probably due to more families and larger crowds eating in. It's only about 3 blocks to the Willis Tower if you want to visit there. (We didn't go due to rainy weather -- I didn't want to spend $20+ per person to see the inside of a cloud.) A good quality hotel as you would expect from this Hotel Group.The reception staff are very helpful and friendly, The hotel is just 2 blocks from the Sears(Willis) Tower and close to the Theater District.

Wife and I really enjoyed this hotel. Extremely quiet , in the middle of everything and staff was very friendly.

Hotel was very new and clean. The location was pretty accessible to public transportation, but many of the restaurants and stores in the area are closed on the weekends, making finding a quick bite difficult. The bed was not very comfortable, but the room overall was very nice, with a large desk area. While the location is great and the fact that they accept pets is an advantage, the facility is lacking in comfortable rooms - tiny and not well insulated for sound. I stayed at this hotel with my family. At the same price (or less) as any other downtown hotel you get the breakfast and a good location. We went to Ruby of Siam and Giordano's for dinner (both are couple blocks from La Quinta) All in all I loved the location, my stay was great and I will surely go back on my next family vacation.

Great location for the price. The only negative thing that I can say is that with all of the construction in the area getting to the parking lot was hard. We accidentally parked in the wrong lot the first time and only were parked there for 10mins while we went to the lobby to check where we should park and that cost me $10!
