I don't know what possessed me to book our Thanksgiving travel stay at this hotel when we could have paid $10 more per night to stay at the Westin! I will say that the room was spacious and comfortable. However (a) I saw several bugs. Granted, they were not roaches but still. (b) We arrived at the hotel well after midnight and, after driving for 10 hours in the middle of chaotic, holiday traffic, were greeted by one of the most unfriendly front desk receptionists I've ever met. Well, let me revise that statement. Since we waited at the front desk with bags in tow for several minutes hoping for someone, a.n.y.o.n.e to come out from the back I can't actually say that we were ever "greeted". But obviously only the night shift workers are sub-par because everyone else we had to deal with at the hotel was very pleasant. (c) Another problem I had with this hotel was the ridiculous parking fee. There is literally no. where. else. to. park. other than the hotel lot because the hotel itself is actually off the main road (it's not as if you can park elsewhere and walk. no.) They charge you $10/night to park your car and guests must also pay if they plan on staying longer than 30 minutes. (d) Finally, the location of the hotel just wasn't that great. True, it was near the interstate and there are a few chains like Waffle House, McDonald's, and Ruby Tuesday, the surrounding neighborhoods just weren't that inviting. All in all, if I could go back, I'd have paid just a little extra to stay elsewhere....I'm sure it would have been worth every penny.

Bathroom was not clean (smelled) and was never cleaned during our stay. Service was poor: never had enough towels. No hair dryer. Always had to request more. It took a long time between making a request & having it taken care of. Restaurant should have had the option of non-buffet lunch.

price and location was good however cleanliness can be Greatly improved re: the specific room. Ex: I went to make coffee and an old coffee bag was down inside the coffee maker. The bathroom had long black hairstrands in the tub and the wall look like someone took a nasty rag to it.

The first night the AC wouldn't cool the room, the lamp bed side didn't work, the alarm clock didn't work and the pool was dirty. Woke up the 2nd day and the ac started to work, informed the office about the lamp and the alarm clock. Dint take long but they replaced them. The second night we found bugs in the bed. We pulled all the sheets off the bed and had to inspect the bed before my daughter would go to sleep. Really didn't care for the parking either. T

My husband and I were looking for a nice, clean place to stay that didn't cost a fortune and was in a nice area of town. We were quite surprised how nice the hotel turned out to be. The beds are really comfortable and the room we stayed in was very spacious. If you're looking for a nice place to stay for a good price, then this is the hotel to stay at.

I always love getting warm cookies at Check-In. Great location for in-and-out to airport. Shuttle service runs every half hour, some hotels do every 15 min, but it's not bad. Only 1 restaurant close to hotel if you are looking for food.

This Hotels SUCKS!!!!!!! I would stay at, or recommend this hotel to any one I know. I would walk up to strangers on the street and tell them how bad this hotel is. It is the king of SUCKY hotels.

Upon arrival there were only two people working the front desk. The line to check in had 12 people on it. 20+ minutes later we got our keys and went up to our floor which wreaked of body odor. The room was comfortable with a slightly less pungent odor as compared to the hallway. No cookies on arrival. No complimentary breakfast. Next time I'm in Atlanta, I'll pay extra to stay in a legitimate 3-4 star hotel or just do it really cheap with the expectation of minimal amenities. These medium rated hotels by major airports are usually disappointing.

The hotel was alright just alright. It did not meet all of my standards. I wish the hotel had a vending area and not just some gift room where the prices were extemely too high. The water was off on Saturday for about 4 or 5 hours which was not the faught of the hotel however the staff could have made the experience better. Instead they were I guess tired of answering questions about the water so they were nasty in their responses. Some of the hotel front desk workers didnt even have on a uniform how ridiculous is that you are representing the hotel. All and all I would give it a 6 on a scale of 10.

For the price I was VERY surprise of how beautiful the place looked upon arrival. I was greeted with smiles and the willingness to make my stay pleasant. Oustanding staff with great smiles and the willingness to offer directions. I will recomment this hotel and will be back for any functions. This was my first time in Atlanta for the SAINTS game. Will be back!

The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. The room was a great size and very clean. Our only complaint is that neither the bar or restaurant at the hotel served any food after 10:00 p.m., and it was a weekend.

I mean that in a good way. I was quite surprised with the service and the room considering the price. The room was in great shape, the staff was nice and courteous, and the amenities are all top notch. I would stay there again in the future.

I got a great price on this hotel in Atlanta so I was kind of skeptical as to what I would end up with. The hotel was beautiful on the inside and very clean. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and friendly. The room was great and the beds were very comfortable. There were always fresh cookies and coffee in the lobby which was a great bonus. The only complaint I had was that the ice machine on our floor didn't work and I had to go on a trip to find some ice but that wasn't that big of a deal. I'll remember this hotel the next time I go to Atlanta.

We came to Atlanta for the night to see a Braves game. The hotel is just 6 miles from the stadium, and was an easy drive. If you're not looking for "fru-fru" this hotel will suite your needs just fine. But if you plan to eat Breakfast downstairs at the buffet, bring your wallet because it's $14 PER PERSON.

The staff was very friendly and helpful as well as the room being clean and comfortable. Picked the hotel not knowing what to expect but was happily surprised with our whole experience. Would recommend the hotel to others and will stay there again when in Atlanta.

I'm not much of a reviewer - everything should be good quality or better, and there's no excuse for anything less, so I don't generally reward a hotel anything extra for doing their job. However, this hotel went so far beyond "the job" that I couldn't help but to say something about it. The staff was warm; they gave everyone checking in a fresh chocolate chip cookie (better than anything I've ever gotten from my grandmother's oven). The campus was beautiful. From the time I turned into the driveway, I felt like I was flying first class. Lobby was quite lovely. The rooms were gorgeous. I didn't want to touch anything because it all looked so perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable, and it had about 8 pillows. The whole time we were there, my wife wouldn't stop going on about how amazing everything was. And what was most amazing about it was the price we got it for. Without giving any specifics, I'll say that we don't have a lot of extra cash to throw around, and the hotel looked like we had splurged. The only issue I had was that we could only stay 1 night

Upon arrival, I did not have a remote control for the TV and there were filthy socks and boxers left in one of the drawers. One of the lamps had a blown light. Housecleaning talked loudly in the halls throughout the day -- everyday. In-hotel restaurant served undercooked (half pink) chicken and crunchy spaghetti. When I notified the wait staff, they removed my plate, but did not do anything about the rest of the chicken on the buffet even though it was also likely undercooked or at the very least contaminated. Oh, and the wait staff had a loud conversation on the restaurant floor about psorasis. Very disappointed!

The only problem that we encountered during our trip was the hotels terrible breakfast buffet. Not only did it cost $11.00 a peice, but it could not have been any colder! Lastly, some of the people at the front desk weren't the friendliest. Fortunately, the rest of the staff was wonderful! All in all, I would stay at the Doubletree Club again.

Reasonably priced compared to downtown Atlanta (our destination). Friendly service with very clean and well kept areas. Cozy fire in the fireplace. The "warm from the oven cookie" at check-in was a plus.

Nice! During my stay Aug. 2007 the hotel was under some renovation but our needs were satisfied extremely well by the hotel staff. When booking on hotels.com you cannot reserve a handicap room online but by calling the hotel directly my request was honored. Also it seems that a handicapped room has a king or queen bed only so if you're handicapped and traveling with someone keep in mind a roll away bed may be needed.

Although the hotel was undergoing renovations during my stay, the guest amenities were very nice, clean, and comfortable. I would stay at the hotel again and based on the renovations I could see, the improvements will be quite nice.
