Not bad. not the ritz but very nice and the best value for quality around the area.

The clientelle there was a little strange. But the staff seemed nice enough. The neighborhood left a bit to be desired - there was nothing to eat within walking distance except for a grocery store and a Papa Johns Pizzeria. The walls in the room are thin, so you can hear others around you. Also, the hotel is close to the Parkway. So, you can hear cars humming by, if you are on that side of the hotel. It's not too loud, but something to be aware of if you are sensitive to noise. I wouldn't recommend this to a single female. However, for a guy travelling alone, looking for a cheap place to crash, that's relatively clean, this could work. Just remember it is no frills, and there are some strange characters lurking in the hallways.

In this case, we got what real estate salesmen dream of: Location, location, location. The hotel was right off the Garden State Parkway, and just blocks from our family's Thanksgiving gathering. In that respect, it was ideal. The hotel was reasonably clean, although the decor dates from a previous decade and the linens clearly had been through the laundry a zillion times. Odd smells permeated the hallways -- perhaps because this hotel still has both smoking and non-smoking rooms. The continental breakfast was adequate (although the seating in the lobby was a bit odd) and the staff was reasonably helpful. For the rock-bottom price, it was OK. Wish they'd cut out the holiday Muzak, though!

Not the newest hotel, but perfectly adequate. Room was clean and quiet, and the bed was very comfy. Perfect location just a mile from my business meeting.

My lights would not come on, the tub wasn't the whitest, the knob popped off of the bathroom sink when I went to pull it. I advised them, but no one came to fix it, so I washed my hands in the tub faucet.

great hotel,older but very clean, super staff,nice lounge,great free contin breakfast,super location,one downfall no elavator,but only has 2 floors,would stay again

Not a fancy hotel, but very comfortable & convenient. Close to some good restaurants & right next door to a supermarket. Will stay again when I'm in the neighborhood.

Room was overall clean & comfortable, large room ...but there was a huge hair on the bathroom door that was GROSS....maids should have seen it. Room needs updating...worn spots on carpeting, seams on wallpaper show. Continental breakfast was minimal & nothnig to brag about. It was convenient to where I needed to go for business & If I had to go there again I'd probaly stay there again since it was convenient & it was reasonably priced.

We have stayed at this hotel before when we visited family. Very nice hotel. Staff is very friendly, room comfortable with lots of amenities, nice continental breakfast and A&P Market next door for anything we may have forgotten or need. Nice place!

Confortable room with all basic amenities

The room was comfortable, and the staff was courteous and friendly. The Continental breakfast was fine. The only negative I would have was that although I was in a non-smoking room, it had an odor as if it had previously been a smoking room. They probably need to replace the carpet and curtains. For a short stay however it was a good bargin and I'd stay there again.

The people at the Kenilworth Inn were exceptionally courteous and friendly. Although the hotel was very dated and the room smelled a bit musty, it was clean, quiet and an overall good value for the money. Also, there was an extra vanity outside the bathroom which was a plus!

The fitness room was not very impressive, it was a converted room with 3 treadmills. The hallway had a musty smell. The continental breakfast was less than expected. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is an old hotel that needs to be updated.

The room we stayed in was somewhat in need of redecorating. Service was good, however, and the room was clean.

Hotel and service was fine and I would reccomend it. Television picture was in bad condition and the alarm clock plus a light was not working. I did not call for repair, my fault I should have, so I do not know how they well they would have responded. I travel a lot so I expect my room to be proper condition. All that said I would stay there again.

This was a nice hotel. Older building. electrical outlets in rooms were limited so finding wqys to charge cell phones and laptops at night was difficult. Staff are very friendly especially the laddy overseeing the free breakfest. Breakfest was good but limited to cold items. The major problem they need to adress is the security system. The front lobby door was locked by a chain. and one side door was always unlocked even in the middle of the night. They have electonic passkey system but this was not working on the main entrance of the side door.

The room we stayed in (2 days) lacked some items that should have been provided like: suitcase rack, electrical outlet for coffee required cord thru doorway, and towels were laundered but still could see dirt stains on towel.

EVERYTHING WAS FINE EXCEPT FOR FRATERNITY/SORORITY ROOM PARTIES TAKING PLACE FRI & SAT NIGHTS. LOUD DOOR SLAMMING & PARTYING. SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Fresh-baked bakery goods included in the breakfast.

black dusty stuff was in the sink in the bathroom; beds comfortable; overall hotel feel was aged; had to walk thru smoking room hall to get to lobby, which had a strong smoke smell; employees very friendly; free breakfast was very adequate

the internet did not work all week , beds could be better for sleeping

The Kenilworth Inn is very conveniently located right off the Parkway and is right next door to a supermarket in case you get peckish and don't want to order out. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the grand continental breakfast was quite a welcome sight after a four hour plane ride. Donuts, danish, bagels, toast, coffee, tea, orange juice, apple juice and cereal made for a tasty array of choices. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

Kenilworth was in a good location, right off the highway. Gas station and grocery store next door to it. Restaurants in walking distance or you could go up to Rt 22 and find all you need there. The room was clean, except the shower leaked each night and when I turned on the water to it one night dirt came out. The bed was comfortable and there was a reading chair/ottoman and a desk for your laptop. Wireless worked well. The continental breakfast was ok, which was my primary nit-pick. There was coffee, orange juice, bread, pastries, and cereal (in little boxes). But there wasn't any heavy foods like eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes...etc. There is a bar if you are so inclined (I didn't try the general diner -- there were too many weddings going on). You can hear the people in the rooms next to you if they get exuberant. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel was right off the exit which was very easy to get to. We were pleasantly surprised by the room. It was very clean and comfortable. The only things that we didn't have were a remote to the tv, which they promply brought to the room, and a microwave oven which I'm not sure every room had. Not having one in the room really didn't make a difference to us. The continental breakfast was fair. I liked the fact that there is a grocery store next door in case you needed to get something. They have a beautiful gazebo on the property as well as an outdoor pool.

The staff was friendly & helpful, but the room wasn't particularly clean (found a hair on the toilet!) and the sink was clogged. Although coffee & filters were provided - there was no coffee pot. The bed was great & the location was convenient for my business meetings.

Location was convenient to airport, NYC and Parkway. Staff was courteous and efficient. Would return.

We stayed here on business and found it to be less than standard for a hotel room for business travel. Yes, the price was reasonable but the overall condition of the rooms, the hotel, the free breakfast and the employees was not worth it.
