Hotel is quiet and well kept. It is close to O'Hare and the 290 freeway, with easy access to the 294 toll road. It requires a car as it is out of the city. the pool and spa lloked good, but the fitness room is an elliptical, stair climber, and treadmill, not much else. the breakfast was good and hot. It was a little farther out than we expected, being new to the city of Chicago but so comfortable and a lovely surrounding area. We regretted our stay was one short overnight!

Good place to park at night actually close to roads and local amenities. Not up to usual for chain but they were in remodeling mode.

The hotel itself was very nice, but the only reason we changed hotels to stay here, was that they advertised Free Airport Shuttle all over their website. It wasn't until we called to schedule our pickup from ORD to Hotel that we were told that it didn't run during the day - just mornings and evenings. This was a clean and solid example of hotels from this chain. Spacious room, nice pool, decent breakfast and friendly staff. Our room was nice and clean, and the beds were comfortable. However, the pool area and the hotel in general could use some TLC--a bit of wear and tear is evident overall.

Not really O'Hare, but close enough to be everything that I needed. Pool and hot tub were exactly what i wanted. The King suite was perfect for my family. My Uncle went with us and he used the fold out and we stayed in the king bed with a door that closed and we each had our own TV's. Excellent customer service. We stayed here the night before leaving from the O'hare airport and weren't here long. However, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was not cramped. Everything was clean.

Clean room, comfortable beds, fun in the pool, good breakfast, and super quiet/next to a golf course. The hallways are "under construction" needing new paper, and the front desk person never got a rollaway bed up to our room, but the managers made it up to us, and I would still recommend it as a great value for the price we paid.

They are in the process of renovating the hotel, so it might change quickly, so none of this might be relevant. The mattresses were spongy, the decor shabby and tired, and the walls too thin. But their breakfasts are always decent, the pool was clean and their cookies were warm. The Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, at Ohare South is an outstanding hotel. The rooms is clean, the exercise room is OK, breakfast OK. The linens are clean. The only negative is that the parking lot and the approach to the property need some work to cover the pockmarks. The parking area also needs more night lighting.

Very nice staff and service....but presently in need of the refurbishing being done. The suites have only one house phone and there should also be one in the sitting area. Furniture just so-.so. I have stayed in many Country Inns and this one not up to usual standard. Hopefully this will greatly improve as the place is refurbished as the sggest it will […] be. I use Country Inn & Suites as one of my first travel locations. The Bensenville one is having some much needed work done that should correct problems. Staff was excellent and helpful. Shutle Bus was not operative, but they arranged for Taxi's which worked out. Morning breaksfast was not as "good" as other sites, but acceptable. First overnite stay in Chicago and in town for conference downtown. Staff was very helpfull in learning how to navigate the city. Remodeling ongoing but did not effect our room or comfort, only obvious when walking the halls. Pool and hot tub was refreshing and not crowded with ample open hours. The hotel was being remodled but were not told when I booked or checked in. The TV and bathroom exhaust fan did not work. Mattress and pillows were not comfortable. I wouldn't stay there again. The only plus is the breakfast!

Very friendly and accomodating staff. Nice complimentary breakfast.

The hotel is good, except the breakfast meal. The room is clean and neat. Overall I really like it and will stay again if I am there.

We booked the room but we were not able to stay there. Our flight was connecting through Chicago with an overnight stay. We got held up in a traffic jam in Atlanta and were unable to make our flight to Chicago. So we took a connection through Dallas. The hotel is about 8 miles via car from the airport. The shuttle runs on the hour from the hotel. The shuttle driver was not there over the weekend. The hotel uses a taxi service that they can get you on the hour. We found it very inconvenient not to have a car for the area. There are no restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. We rented a […] car for convenience. We were able to park it at the "Cumberland" stop on the "L" in order to ride it in to downtown Chicago which worked great. The parking garage was $4. They were doing some remodeling but were not disruptive or loud. I'd stay again

Although breakfast was free but the attitude of Spanish speaking waiter was unbearable , he would not warm the boiled eggs for us and constantly kept on giving us bad looks as if it was huge favor he was doing for us by serving us.

Nice staff but the smell of fresh paint in the whole hotel was so strong, the female Receptionist was great but the male Receptionist was rude and unfriendly; in general most of it was OK

Good stay - good location - WiFi was a problem.

This hotel was just what we needed. We wanted to ride into Chicago and take in the sites, and this hotel was close enough to do that. We were able to take the train in one day (new experience) and the car the next and got helpful info. from the front desk staff. The staff was friendly and we were greeted with a 'hello' everytime. Planes flew overhead as they arrived into O'Hare airport, but we weren't bothered by the noise because it wasn't that loud--it actually became a game, who could see the plane first. I use this hotel exclusively, when I have friends / busy associates come into town. [ I had used another one just down the street, the Mayan Adventure Indoor Waterpark at The Waverton Hotel Chicago-Elmhurst Hotel. It was awful. Stayed at the hotel while on a business trip. For a mid-priced hotel, this is a good option. The hotel is in relatively good condition (even has a pool). The rooms are in good shape, and have the basic stuff a business traveler could need. If you're looking for amenities like a flat screen TV, this isn't the hotel. Everything I need for an extended stay!

We stayed one night at this hotel, the night before a flight out of O'hare. We didn't use the shuttle, so can't really comment on that. The room was clean, and comfortable. The staff was friendly, and explained things well. Its not a fancy hotel, but it is certainly adequate for a stay like this. I felt comfortable there with my wife. The area right […] around the hotel is VERY quiet. There is a golf course on one side, and a cemetary across the road. To the east, it declines a little bit, but that doesn't seem to go towards the hotel at all. We didn't use the pool, but could tell the area was well kept, and could def smell the chlorine. It wasn't offensive, though. We were also running late the morning of the flight so didnt' have time for a full breakfast. We just grabbed a glass of juice on the way out. I was satisfied with most everything. It was difficult to regulate the room temperature, it was too hot. Then the pool was over-chlorinated causing me and others to cough. Breakfast was very good. This hotel was a good hotel for a standard overnight stay. There is nothing necessarily "exceptional" about the hotel; however, the staff was very friendly. The over-night woman at the front desk was really sweet. Breakfast in the morning was okay. The eggs are microwaved. Sausage was put out when breakfast was almost over. Although we were already […] awake, the rest of the hotel was woken by fire alarms at 8:30am. The alarms went off for about 10-15 minutes. None of the staff explained what was going on and no one asked the guests to wait outside while the fire department checked the building. We requested a smoking suite; however, they did not reserve one for us. A friend stayed the night there as well. She also reserved a smoking suite, but was not given one. The woman at the front desk told my friend she would "make an exception" and gave her an ashtray. When I asked, she refused. (We checked in at different times). Since you pay ahead of time on hotels.com - the hotel could not give us a refund and then downgrade our room. We could downgrade, but not receive any type of refund for the difference in prices of the rooms. I was between flights and didn't need a meal when I arrived, so this hotel fit the bill. The pickup from the airport was speedy and friendly, the place was clean and efficient check in was completed in minutes. I was told that a shuttle could take me to a restaurant or anywhere else within 5 miles for free. This might have been needed, since there was […] NOTHING around this place except peace and quiet. It would have been nice to have had time the next day to walk around. Breakfast was sufficient, ready for me, and easy to get and again the shuttle back to the airport was easy and on time.
