hotel was alittle dirty, needs updated. But price was o.k.

For the price I paid, I was very disapointed with the room. My room was terrible(they said was clean), but toilet was broke; the fridge leaked when I was out and had water on the floor. The security outside was the only thing that I really liked, since I had my motorcycle outside. I would never go back and will my the word around that this is a terrible hotel.

The hotel was pleasent. It was very nice right on the beach with the pool right there and the DJ. We really enjoyed all of that.But the bed was awful they really need new mattresses we could hardley sleep the bed was so uncomfortable. Other than that we had a wonderful time.

The hotel is inexpensive compared to others in the area; the hotel is scary looking in the hallways and is under major construction. I had no towels and after asking twice, they did not arrive until the next afternoon. The construction went on into the night (chiseling concrete) and I had to literally personally ask the worker to stop (after calling the desk and being place on terminal hold). If you are looking for inexpensive on the beach; this is it. They do have a nice pool and lobby-family-oriented.

Hotel under construction, but the workers were very considerate of the guests. It has a great pool area with DJ that we all enjoyed. Rooms need upgrading.

room was not what we were told it would be and as soon as we enter our room three workers were in there and they said the room was ready and when I went to sit something on the bed there was chips spilled on it.so dont think they cleaned the room

We stayed in the Hawaiian Inn during Spring Break, and it was definitely worth the money. Waking up and being able to see the ocean right outside the window was fantastic, and the hotel was reasonably close to all the shops and restaurants in town. The beds aren't great by any means, but they did the job. The TV was pretty crappy (took a while to start up/get picture) due to all the humidity I'm sure. The staff kept the room clean and always had fresh towels. The front desk workers were also very friendly and knowledgeable.

Well the location was very ideal but the condition and up keep of the room was horrible. What made it even worse was the fact that I was also traveling with my 3 small children one of which is only 4mths old. It was terrible and would absolutely NOT recommend this dump to any one.

Overall we really enjoyed the room. One issue we had was the location of the room in the hotel. Our room was on the far end, away from the elevators to the main lobby. There was another elevator that took us to a door to go outside, but it was locked most of the time. Would think the hotel would put a key lock on the door so you could go in and out with your room key. I had to go into the lobby and go around to the end to let my husband in the hotel, because he has lung cancer and was unable to walk very far. The only other issue we had was the front cleark desk wasn't very knowledgable about the hotel she was working in. Other than that, the room was very nice. We had very good maid service.

The hotel was in the middle of a renovation at the time we went, but that does not excuse the beat up furniture in the room or cig. burn marks on the dresser. The kitchenette was not at all like the brochure, missing stuff. The sliding door to the ocean was broke and would not lock. Going down the hallway to your room was like walking through a concrete dungeon. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone...even if we disliked them.

Okay for the money, but hotel needs updating. Located right across the street from adult entertainment.

Over all, the room was all new. But because of its original design, you did not here the ocean but you did here people in the next room and in the hallway.

Wasn't a dump and wasn't the Ritz. had a good view of the ocean. Bed was a little hard slept on the futon for four nights. It was more comfortable to the bed. Renovations going on while we were there. Wasn't too bad on noise i couldn't here it in the room but coming and going all you could here were jackhammers. It would have been nice to know that they would be remodeling when we were there. I would return and stay again. Look forward to seeing the improvements when I return!!

Very good location, but there are tons of hotels near the location with great quality. This hotel is very old and dirty.

hotel is under construction; conditions inside the building are bad. location is good. outside part of the hotel is fine.

I selected this hotel after reading the other reviews. However, it was not what they said! Many hotels in Daytona are priced low per night, so I wasn't expecting low quality which is what it really is. As soon as you walk in, the lobby has an old look, feel, and smell. The Hawaiian Inn is a condo association, which is why all rooms have the kitchenette. Our room faced the ocean, which was very nice. I did not like the fact that the room had an 'old' smell (wasn't fresh at all) and that the plaster ceiling was peeling off and falling on the floor. I did like the fact that we had a separate room for the TV and the clean kitchenette with full-sized fridge. I would not stay here again- when I go to a hotel I want to have a clean room where I feel like I am on a vacation. This room didn't even come close. It felt like I was at a motel. In addition, there is no breakfast like hotels.com says.

The hotel itself is beautiful. It is right on the beach and you can hear the waves from the room. We checked into our room and it was great. It was beautiful and had a balcony that had a great view of the beach... but the floor was soaking wet. It seemed like the air conditioner had leaked all over the floor. We have a crawling baby, so it wasn't possible for us to stay in that room. They offered to switch us to another room, and had us look at the new room before deciding. The new room was not as nice, and it was smaller, and did not have as great of a view, since it was off to the side of the hotel. But it was still nice. And the hotel staff was very accomodating. We still had a great time. The room and the view were still great. The rooms also come equipped with kitchenettes that was great. They have microwaves, a fridge, two burners and a sink with dish towels and dish soap. The hotel itself is great, and one of the less tacky hotels in daytona. I would stay there again, and hope the incident we had was just bad luck.

This was an awesome hotel for the money. Staff was for the most part helpful. They weren't very helpful in answer resturant questions. But facilites and amenities were a def. plus! Would like to stay again for a longer period of time. Wasn't expecting the full kitchenette! Great balcony view. Pool & hotel were clean and fun. Inside ping pong table for the kids. Would recommend to friends and family!

Just wished the outside tiki bar was open later that night..otherwise absolutely gorgeous...

hotel needs improvement. The check in time was at 4:00 and there was not a room ready.When you are traveling with small children it is an inconvience. The room also had mold on the celing and a broken fridge. Again a hazard with children.The hotel had a restuarant for breakfast but it was only open on one day of our stay.With all of the downfalls it had a great view of the beach.

Lot's of space in our room-we will certainly return! The pool is huge with a large deck area, plenty of chairs. Lots of activities going on-like a movie by the pool on the "blow up screen" at sunset. That was really neat. There were a couple maintenance issues around the hotel that I would have rather not seen, but it wasn't the end of the world. Excellent place for the price!

we had no hot water for 2 days & are room looked like something from a springbreak movie room was old & needed a make over BAD!!!!! The pool was area was nice.

The lobby and pool area where great. Rooms were very old and run down. Shower doors wouldn't slide, grouting looked nasty. Over all room not bad. Strange set up, entrance to rooms looked like prison cells. You could hear every noise from halls as if people were directly in your room. Couldn't watch television, because you couldn't hear over the DJ. Staff was very friendly and nice.

Check in was supposed to be at 4pm, got into room at 515pm, no coffee for coffee maker, bulb in lamp was blown, no alarm clock, maid didn't vaccum carpet, unable to get room on any floor other than 1st floor, staff made excuses-did not offer any remedies, nice pool, great access to beach, ocean front room view was good, parking adequate.

Hotel needs some work no place to eat in the hotel.Front deck personal were great they were working with what they had to offer.

The staff was very friendly. The pool area is giant, and steps from the beach. The hammocks were a plus too. They also had a disney movie on a giant screen by the pool on saturday night for the kids. The only thing that wasn't that good was the breakfast buffet. It was the first weekend of the new breakfast though. Overall, I will be returning to the Hawaiin Inn in the future.

We had a great time. The hotel is somewhat aged, but what do you expect it was built in the 1960's. We had a 1 bedroom suite with a king size bed on the top floor on the end (had two veiws of the ocean 1 of the pool), it had a pull out couch that we could not use because the springs that hold the mattress up were gone. The kids just slept on the couch and loveseat. "they did not care" They apprently had some elevator problems, ours was out for 2 days, and we used the stairs. I would stay here again. We will be back next year. If you have mobility issues, I would suggest asking for a room on a lower floor. The veiw is fantastic from the top floor. We did not use to resturant facilities, or go to the luau show, very high prices. Ask about the internet amenities because according to hotels.com it is free. The Hawiian Inn does charge to internet.

The pool and deck was huge, a nice tiki hut for drinks and food. Right on the beach. Staff was great. People from work are already booking for June because I said how great I thought it was.

This is a nice hotel, with a beautiful balcony view of the pool and ocean. Unfortunately there were tell/tale signs of maintenance going on and some of the amenities were not available. The check-in staff were very friendly and attentive to my requests and even followed up to make sure everything was okay. The sofa bed was not as comfortable as the sofa bed's cushions placed on the floor and used as a make shift bed. Now as far as the carpet in my room...well...lets say I wouldn't walk on it without my socks on. ;-) Now please don't get me wrong, these things weren't too bad for the price I paid, and the spectacular sunrise over the ocean made up for the rooms shortcomings. I would stay here again and even recommend it to family and friends.

The hotel staff was very helpful. The room we got was located on the ground floor and opened toward the pool/ocean. At first that seemed great until we discovered that the video games the hotel provided was right on our wall. (Kids played them seemed like all night.) The elevator was also located right across the hall. The noise was almost unbearable. It seemed that our room was the worst in the hotel. I would recommend this hotel, but make sure you don't get that room.

The hotel itself is old, however, the service was good. The pool area is very nice, the beach is quiet, and the hammocks are neat to have by the beach. The only downfalls for me, were, majority of the rooms had balconies, it lists that there are balconies on the rooms and the room is ocean front, but I got stuck with one of the few rooms without a balcony! The room was clean, but old and the beds were not very comfortable. I wasnt totally disappointed but I wasnt completely pleased either. I would stay here again however, but with a room with a balcony!

The hotel has its good and its bad. For staying the night it was decent enough. The rooms were remodeled somewhat, pool area was relaxing and nice, lobby looked good, but the hallways of the hotel were very scary. Not everything in the hotel was remodeled. Though I must say the kids had a really good time, and didn't really care what anything looked like. As long as they were happy everything was good. Hotel was fine for a quick stay!

When we arrived, we did not get the room we had booked due to plumbing mishap that happened on the 5th floor, however they accommodated us in a large enough room but not on the ocean as originally booked. However they had an even better one available our 2nd nite overlooking pool and ocean that we transferred to and will book from now on. The room was exceptional (both were) and only wish we had had more time to stay.Staff was exceptional, great place for the $$. Not too mention the weather cooperated too.

We did not like the balconies, they were not private at all and we were inches from the neighbors. It was very loud due to doors slamming all night. (not the hotels fault) The toilet had issues, and the bathroom was dated. Other than that, for the money it was okay. The pool area and bar were nice.

Hotel felt like you were in a jail cell. Very old rooms located poorly. Still under rennovations.

We went there to celebrate our anniversary and we loved it. I've stayed on the beach in Daytona many times and found that this hotel was better than most. And for the price you couldn't beat it. The outdoor pools and tiki bar were great and the view from the balcony (all rooms seem to have one) was awesome.

OUR STAY WAS GREAT!!! WE HAD AN AWESOME TIME.. ITS IN A GREAT LOCATION THEY HAD AN OUTSIDE BAR AND THE PEOPLE WERE GREAT!!! I HAD A BLAST. I WOULD DEFINATLEY STAY THERE AGAIN IN THE FURTURE!!!!
