Omni Corpus Christi Hotel - Bayfront & Marina Towers - Corpus Christi 27.80011, -97.39128

Upon check-in at the Bayfront Tower, we were asked if we would mind a free upgrade in the Marina Tower. We were offered a Junior Suite in the Marina Tower for the same rate as the standard room in the Bayfront. We were very happy with the room and staff at the Marina Tower. The suite had two rooms, one with a bed and armoire (TV), the other with a nice couch and chair, a desk, and an entertainment system. It was clean, the bed comfortable, and the pillows nice. We had a beautiful view of the Marina (sailboats and the Corpus Christi Community Christmas tree) and nice restaurants were within walking distance. The bathroom was small but serviceable, and the towels were fluffy. My husband and I were in town for a professional conference, stayed five nights total. Because we were there during the holiday season, everything was decorated beautifully with lights and greenery. We would happily stay at the Omni Marina Tower again.

Excellent hotel in a great location. One of the best in Corpus Christi.

After reading previous reviews, I was very worried that I picked the wrong hotel. However, it was very nice, from the moment I dropped my car off to the valet to when we checked out. The hotel was clean and not outdated like I expected (maybe they've renovated in the last year or so?) and had a small shop, hair salon, spa services, restaurants and bar. We attempted to use the spa, but got no answer when we called around 6pm on Saturday...they must have already closed. A recording with their hours would have been nice though. My friend went to buy some aspirin in the shop downstairs who charged a whopping $15 for a small bottle. Outrageous. It was a girls weekend, so we hit the hotel bar shortly after checking in around noon. The staff was hard to track down and changed frequently. One person told me a certain mix was used for bloody marys and then another bartender made it using a different brand. Nothing major, but a little irritating. The hotel is in walking distance to restaurants and bars, so it was convenient. I would stay here again while in Corpus, but will do my shopping and drinking elsewhere!

The hotel is less than what's expected from an Omni. Everything was standard and acceptable until I found a few red spots on my bedding. I brought it to the hotel's attention, and all they did is switched my sheets. That was a quick remidy, but it left me with feeling that anything else could be dirty in the room. Not a good feeling.

We came to the Omni the first week of October for a couple of days of R and R. The staff was very friendly and the hotel right on the bay. The weather cooperated and it stayed in the upper 80's. My husband sat by the window and watched the ships come into port by the hour. The bed was very comfortable and I didn't hear anyone else until the wakeup calls for the next morning. I highly recommend the Omni for romantic getaways. Roomservice and a gorgeous restaurant right in the hotel who could ask for more?

Although we requested a non-smoking room and were told by the housekeeper that the entire floor was non-smoking, the room was reeking in smoke odor, as were the hallways. Obviously, the conversion to non-smoking was very recent. Management needs to replace all carpeting and clean or replace drapery, bedding and wallpaper to eliminate the offensive odor. We were attending a meeting and needed to stay at this hotel. It was good value for the money but the odor was unacceptable.

The front desk service was fabulous! The price was very reasonable. The hotel room was comfortable, but the maid service did not come on the second day of our stay except to take our towels and replenish them. The trash was not taken out or the dirty coffee and water cups. The beds were not made.

The hotel, its accommodations, service, and ballrooms were all gorgeous and befitting of a weekend away. Beautiful, beautiful hotel!

MY HUSBAND AND I WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THIS HOTEL. EVERYONE WAS VERY PLEASANT AND HELPFUL. LOVED THE PIANO BAR ON THE TOP FLOOR. THE VIEW AND THE ENTERTAIMENT WERE VERY ENJOYABLE. WE ALSO ENJOYED THE BALCONY WITH THE BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF THE BAY.

I really enjoyed staying there, very clean and comfortable. Great view of the gulf, definitely a plus. The only thing I was a little dissapointed with was there were not enough restuarants available by the hotel. We had to drive a little ways to find something comprable to our price, but all and all very nice stay, would do it again.

Me and my girlfriend came down for Labor Day weekend to enjoy the ocean (my Girlfriends first time). I have been to Corpus Christi before but this was my first time at Omni Bayfront Hotel. Both of us were in awe of the room and the view. I read some bad reviews of the hotel, but it really was a nice stay for us both. The room was very clean and was very comfortable. They even leave a newspaper for the morning at your door. The view was awesome from the Bayfront view suite. You get a full view of the Harbor and Marina with the double balcony. It was nice to see the sun-set and rise on the private balcony. Room service was a bit pricy but the food was very good (better than what i thought). I would definitely stay hear again.

Great Room. Great view of the fireworks! Great location on the beach. Great value considering when we made our reservations. Good parking until we had to leave our car outside in open lot when garage full due to non-hotel guests arriving for a rented ballroom function.

The Omni was ok for the price and its location; however, I expected much better. First of all, we stopped by early to ensure our room would be available at check in time. We were told that we needed to be put on a waiting list due to overbooking. Luckily, we were provided with a room by 3:15. Although everything appeared to be clean, our room had stains on the carpet, linens, and towels. What bothered us most was the clogged shower. It took about 5 min for the water to drain after each shower. The hotel it self was nice. The pool area was much smaller than it appeared in the photos, and the water was very cloudy. Two things that did make me happy were the goodie bag my daughter received when we checked in, and the bay view from our room.

Drove 7 hours arrived around 4p or 430p tired only to learn our room was not ready upon arrival. Hotel seemed over crowded. Elevators were very slow.

This hotel is older but still very nice. The view from my Bay View room was very nice. The room was nice and well appointed. The location is perfect because it's literally "the end of the road". The first person I encountered at the check in counter seemed overwhelmed and when I asked for an upgrade she panicked and referred my to what I would assume was a manager. He was very professional and gave me my options for upgrading a room. Negatives would include a very limited room service menu and a hotel interior badly in need of updating. All and all the stay was nice and above average. I would stay here again.

The Omni Bayfront has everything you need. Excellent restaurants; Excellent Swimming Pool; Weight room; exercise facility and in a great location. The view from the room is wonderful. GREAT BED!

Disappointed that the rooms weren't ready for 3:00 check in during busy conference. Made me late for my function.

I reserved 2 non smoking rooms through hotels.com. when i checked in i was given smoking rooms. i showed them a printout of the reservation staing non-smoking and was immediately moved to non smoking rooms. pretty impressive since the hotel was full that weekend with 3 weddings and a youth event. great location, easy drive to the lexington and the state aquarium, and good seafood restaurants just a few miles away.

The Omni was a nice hotel and the staff were very nice. However, the bed was hard and the internet service did not work most of the time. The view was outstanding and the robes in the closet were a nice touch, but I did not think it was worth the price overall.

The hotel is very comfortable, clean and the location is great. At arrival (at check in time), was informed that I'd have to wait about 40 minutes for the room to be ready. After insisting, the situation was solved by another staff, which was very helpful. The next day at 9 am, somebody from the hotel staff was knocking at every door of my floor to ask guests at what time we were checking out. That was rude... I still recommend it, though. Make sure you put the 'privacy' sign on your door and be patient...

We had a problem with our sink not draining properly and asked that it be fixed. We were told it was fixed, but it was not. For being a nicer hotel, this place needs some updates to make it more modern.

Went for our wedding anniversary! The hotel was excellent. We enjoyed out dinner at the Texas Republic on the 20th floor and then enjoyed having drinks at the hotel bar.. Everything was FABULOUS!

the hotel was pretty good , however i had requested a non-smoking room. and you could clearly tell someone had been smoking inside. the hotel staff was very friendly they also gave my two grandaughter small token welcome bags with a few goodies . it was very convient to the bus/trolly lines over all it was a good stay.

The pictures of the rooms (suites with the balcony view of the water) made the rooms look to be absolutely beautiful. They were not very nice at all. The room was a bit pricey, but much less than the larger suites, which I certainly hope are excellent. The bathroom was outdated and not very clean. It was certainly comfortable and convenient, but it fell well short of our expectations. We had to wait until 5PM to check in (the 4PM check in is late enough) because the room was still being cleaned from a guest staying late. We were offered a downgraded room with two double beds instead of 1 king off the water for the same price. This is absolutely unacceptable. Try one of the other hotels in the area, so you can check in at a convenient time, have a nice room, and not be insulted by the lack of compensation for errors beyond your control.

I always enjoy my stay at the Omni and I think that the commercials may be on to something! They really roll out the "red carpet." I stayed during Spring Break and they still went above and beyond the call of duty! I was able to get an early check in inspite of them being SOLD OUT! I really love this hotel and it helped to get that great Hotels.com rate!

Staff was friendly, and had no complaints. Asked for bay view room when we got there, and they gladly gave us one.

The Bad: On arrival, we had to kind of barter to get the room we booked, due to it being spring break. Once past that the only complaint I have is the $7/day parking, because there is no where else to park but in their garage. The Good: Other than those minor inconveniences we had a great stay. The rooms were very clean and quiet, with comfortable beds and pillows. The rooms all seemed to have a pretty good view. It was very quiet in the hotel considering it was spring break week. The hotel is very centrally located around a lot of awesome little bars (check out Dr. Rockit's House of Blues and House of Rock, but I would stay away from The Vault) and good restaurants. I have stayed at a few other hotels in town during spring break, but this is the only place I'm staying from now on.

The staff was respectfull and courteous. Customer service is a priority with the management and they have gift bags for the kids. We really enjoyed our stay.

and the Republic of Texas restaurant on the top flow is top notch.
