Royal Resort - Las Vegas

We stayed here for a major conference and loved being a 15 minute walk to the convention center instead of taking a cab or shuttle from the strip. They were able to check us in early, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the restaurant downstairs has delicious food. If you can't get reservations, you can do carry out. It was pretty noisy at night with […] music from downstairs, and you do have to track down a cab to get to the strip. In any other city, this would be a three or three and a half star hotel. The hotel as a whole was fine, but there was no room service or Internet access. When I called for room service (twice) I got an answering machine (that was full). The Hotels.com description indicated that there was wireless Internet service. This was not the case in the room. I was told there was WiFi in the lobby but it was not working. I stayed at this hotel for three nights because I needed to attend a large convention down there. The hotel was within a walking distance from the Convention Center and that was convenient. I also liked the large window completely opens up (not just for a couple inches like other hotels). But their in-room Internet access was not available, and their […] "Free WiFi in the Lobby" never worked for three days, which had significantly affected my business. Also, I requested a quiet room and was sent to the 2nd floor room right above the bar area. Live music continued till late and when I requested the room change, they told me they were sold out for the night. It was my third request when they finally told me they "found another room on the 6th floor", where I moved past 1AM. Housekeeping was not complete when they forgot to put out my trash. And the air conditioning control pad in the room was not working properly. Overall, the hotel was conveniently located from the Convention Center, and the large window opens up completely. Room was very comfortable, 10 minute walk to the convention center avoided the use of shuttle buses and taxis. The only problem was the intermittent internet connection.

This hotel is always clean and cheap, the location is not bad at all.

the first desk clerk was a little rude as I arrived for check-in early. the other clerk jumped in and was amazing and effecient.

This hotel is not in the middle of the vegas action, nor does it have a casino. I was in vegas for multiple day convention at the convention center and this hotel worked very well. Well priced, good location close by LV Convention Center and major hotel casinos. Room was more of an effecieincy type with a King sized bed plus a Murphy Bed if you need it. Room was clean with no signs of wear. As others have stated the desk staff lacked the friendly welcoming enthusiasm found in larger hotels. the bar staff were friendly.

Very happy with staff and hotel. Pool is a nice touch. Definitely would recommend staying there.

The staff was awesome and very friendly... only down fall was that the air conditioner wasn't very good. Would not get below 71 degrees.... for most ppl that fine but it wasn't so great for us.

They recently remodeled and the lobby is nice and hip and the rooms are really nice, good bed, good tv, nice bathroom.

not a bad hotel to stay in vegas for it's low price. it is close to the vegas strip, but you only pay 1/3 of the other hotel prices. pretty good deal.

Hotel needs updating and the toilet wasn't working - had to flush a few times. Definitely get what you pay for - it was a 2.5 star hotel. Was there for a birthday celebration and the hotel experience ruined it. Not much customer service at the front desk - very unfriendly.

Clean, comfortable room with refrigerator, microwave, soaps and shampoos. Nice location (short block to the strip) with lots of parking that is very convenient to your room. The price is right!

Mr. Ray who works at grave yard shift and mr. Mike who claim to be shift manager are very rude along with unprofessional manner. customer service of the hotel just like cheap motel some where. So before you go to that hotel prepare yourself to deal with employee such as Ray and mike. Thanks

This is the second time I have stayed at the Royal Resort and again I walked away happy. They are right next to the strip so we can walk to any casino on the boulevard and the hotel staff is very friendly. The rooms aren't big, but they are perfect for how long I am usually in them. We were going to see the Cubs play in Vegas, so we only needed a room to sleep. The reviews were good, it seemed like a great location for our needs, so we booked it. It is located next to the Wynn, but off of a street that is not busy like the strip. Easy to get in and out of the parking lot, free parking, lots of it. The front desk was friendly, and […] the place was clean. The best part was that there was no hint of smoke smell. There's a pool table and other games for guests, a small fitness center which we took advantage of and a pool/jac. It was such a great deal for the money. I found this hotel just perfect for one day in Vegas. It´s near the strip (allmost 5 min walk), clean and the service was friendly. So it´s not to be a Spa resort, but for a visit for 1 or 2 days definitly a cheap alternate to the big hotels.

room was smaller then pix show to be sure, but it was clean, bed was comfortable. great location, peppermill across the street and walgreens. my only major complaint was they they wanted to charge for internet, and it didn't even work on my side of the hotel. pool / hot tub was ok room came with an excellent bunch of person items like toothpaste […] and name brand his & hers razors in case you needed one. that was nice. This is a great hotel option for those working at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It is less than 1/2 mile away, an easy walk. The rooms are great for the price, and the staff was very helpful. The bar area tended to be very noisy - not with clients, but the music. Other than that, it was perfect. for me, this place was almost perfect - comfortable, clean, laid back, nice staff. pool and hot tub were clean and lovely. everything you'd expect from a decent hotel - and here are a few unexpected - cool art in the lobby, a pool table, lots of free bathroom amenities, fastest elevators i've used, NO GAMBLING machines making annoying noise. my one […] and only complaint is thin walls.. i kid you not, we could hear a screw being placed on a table in the room above; check out time is a cornucopia of children screaming and doors banging; the guy next door's chainsaw snoring coulda been at the foot of the bed. bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper Leia mais

Once I arrived in my room I noticed the A/C was not working. I immediately went to the front desk and let them know. They said they would send a technician and they did. The technician came to my room and looked at the A/C. He told me that it was not working properly and we would need to move rooms. Well a little while later I get a knock at my door […] and it was a hotel worker with a box fan. Needless to say I stayed for three days without any A/C. While checking out the manager tells me that they do not have any A/C during this time. I was so angry and disappointed. Just be careful. The hotel was nice and walkable distance to the strip. The only problem was that the AC didn't seem to work (thank god it wasn't summer)!

Front desk was helpful. Room was exactly as pictured in the description. Very clean. Hot tub was fantastic. Location was great.

Everything about our room was great there was no smoking which made my allergies happy, the only set back was the air conditioning wasn't working properly. We didn't report it either, just opened up the window.

this is the place. extremely quiet. down to there is no casino in the place. room was very spacious. loved the fact that there was both a fridge and a microwave. private balcony is great too. free toiletries were great too. carpet could use some deep cleaning, but i didn't go to look at carpet. thermostat in my room was breaking down so it make a […] loud clanking noise when it turned on...lol. but it still did it's job which is what mattered the most to me. great place for a quiet get away...definitely going back. Great pool area. pool temp was wonderful, it was heated to perfection for me. nice and warm. When my fiance and I checked in everything seemed ok. We were pleased with the location of the hotel, but soon discovered there were no places to eat on the premises. There were several places within good walking distance if that's your cup of tea, otherwise you drive or take a cab. the hotel is great, it has all you need in Vegas. the managers are FANTASTIC ...and you can walk to casinos n shows ... so if you go to Vegas check the hotel is really nice

The outward appearance of the hotel was a bit misleading, the interior was very nice. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It was nice to be in a hotel without the smells and sounds of the casino. We were there for the CES and we chose this hotel because of its location to the convention center and the strip. I was happy to find this place so close to the LVCC during CES (the Consumer Electronics Show), and at a very good price. Can't beat the convenience to the convention center, but the Panther Networks WiFi they offer here was just completely unusable. It might be OK for a smaller, non-tech-geek convention, but don't even think about it for a show like […] CES. (We ended up at the Denny's around the corner, at 2am to get anything uploaded.) Another thing: This is also a second-string hotel, so during peak times, there are just no cabs to be had. We finally ended up walking to the Wynn Encore one night. The rooms were fine, though, and staff reasonably helpful. The first room they put me in was about 90 degrees, and smelled like someone had left a sandwich rotting under the bed for a few days. They moved me to another room right away, though, and the second room was OK. Overall, this would be a decent hotel for a convention at the LVCC, as long as it's not a big one. For something like CES, though, it's way too hard to get cabs, and the WiFi was just unusable. Leia mais

The Royal Resort was in a perfect location! It was on the North end of the Strip just one block East of Las Vegas Blvd. The hotel was easy to locate and it was easily accessible. They had plenty of parking and easy access to the parking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were no hidden fees and everything was explained very clearly. The […] hotel was under construction, which I wasn't aware of ahead of time, but it did not make anything inconvenient. Our room was perfect for our stay. It was a bit small, but we didn't need to spend a lot of time in there so it was perfect for our needs. It wasn't as clean as I would have liked it, the carpet looked stained and it appeared the bathroom needed another wipe down, but it was only a minor thing. I really enjoyed my stay and would stay there again. A big bonus was that there was no gambling in this hotel so it was a peaceful stay and there wasn't a lot of traffic through the hotel, and as a person who needs down time that was ideal! Leia mais

Stayed here for one night while in Vegas for a Bachelor party. The nice thing about this place is that it's right off the strip, but you don't have to pay Strip type prices for the room. The lobby was under renovation when I was there, so there was the smell of new paint upon entry, but otherwise a decent place. The room was clean, bathroom adequate […] and the staff friendly and courteous. No casino, so that was nice... also meant the lobby didn't smell of smoke upon entry. It's just north of the Wynn/Encore so it's kinda on the far end of the strip, but all the same it's an easy walk to most anything you want or a short drive. Leia mais
